  1. I cant decide which one to get for my wife. Petrol 1.4 dsg or diesel 1.6 dsg? I plan for her to keep it for up to 10 years and she will do roughly 10 000. Any views before I spend my cash on her. I have the Oci VRS 2.0 tdi which is just perfect for the long rides with kids and kit and has been such an eye opener for me, hence why I'm keen to get another Oci estate (is it sad to have 2 Oci estates?).
  2. I have been told that as long as the front headlights are changed to continental LHD lights, then the car will meet the German lighting requirements which I presume mean that the fogs are german legal. I pick my Tax Free combi elegance up in early July and will be taking it straight to Germany for use there, I will be ****ed if it then fails and I need to splash out even more on it!
  3. I've got an almost identical one coming next month for cruising the autobahns of europe, cant wait. The best bit about the car, is that the kids legs aren't long enough to kick the back of my seat - thankyou Skoda!
  4. plat gray or steel gray which ever its called certainly looks good, trouble is , is that my boss (wife!) now wants bloody silver!! I give up! have what you like boss.
  5. How did you get a combi in platinum grey? The bochure I have (UK) from 1 Jan 2010 doesnt seem to have it as an option! Just steel grey unfortunately, which looks like light blue.
  6. Robdan - thanks, sounds like an expensive problem, ontop of the expense of getting from BFC to BFG!
  7. I am moving to germany and will need to undertake a lighting test on my Superb with Adaptive Front-light System to meet the german laws. Do the adaptive lights convert to european LHD standards, or do I need to buy a new set of simple cheap LHD lights replacing the expensive adaptive ones?
  8. I'm a newbie too and have just ordered an estate 170cr TDI 2.0 in Elegance, Silver with black leather. I never thought I would buy a skoda! But with all the evidence out there you would have to be mad not to. My mate has just sold his 2 year old DB9 Aston Martin and traded up to a skoda superb as well!
