  1. Hi Its 34050. I omitted it form the original post & have now added it. Cheers
  2. SKODA OCTAVIA ESTATE 5-DR 2.0 TDI CR VRS DSG 5dr - 2011 £13000 The car is silver, had one owner and has full Skoda service history - 34050 miles All usual VRS refinements, other extras include - xenon headlights full heated leather, front & rear sparking sensors, auto dimming rear view mirror, curtain airbags, full sized spare (unused) and sunset glass. Next MOT due 04/06/2015 Tax expires 30/11/2014 Car is based in Birmingham - any questions please ask
  3. Recently I managed to a get a quote for an ST3 estate with metallic & a few other options for £22.5k through DTD. I'm still deliberating, the thought of the Focus facelift is putting me off at the moment.
  4. Thanks all, fantastic advice. They test drove one earlier today, really liked it.....so much they put a deposit on one. They are happy with the deal including sensors and the trade in price was a pleasant surprise. I understand what impressed them was the versatility of the car and the engine. As previous comments there are very few of the estates left. Thanks again for the advice.
  5. That's interesting about the dealer fit sensors, I'll certainly pass the advice on - many thanks
  6. Thanks for all the advice, it's really appreciated. My folks have rear sensors on their current car so we're hoping that they could add them to the spec. They are test driving one early next week. Should they like it I'll tell them to form a list if the add ons they require and try to chip away at the APR.
  7. Hi Hope you can help, my folks are considering the current Fabia 1.2TSi 86 SE Estate offer. On the face of it the offer looks good value, apart from the 7.9% finance. A couple of questions before they have a test drive : Could any more discount be squeezed out of Skoda on this model/offer? (no harm in trying!) Is the engine decent in the 86hp guise? Can other options be added or is the model in one form only. Many thanks
  8. Thanks for the advice I ordered the 'full size' spare so naively thought it would be 'full size' as in the same size, although it would appear I have been luckier than some!
  9. Bit of an odd one this  My VRS TDI estate is a little over 2 years old. I was checking the condition of my tires today as I was in the process of ordering a pair of fronts. I checked the full size spare (I've had the car from new) and although I had Dunlops on mine originally they were replaced with Contis 225 40 R18 by Skoda after I suffered from sawtoothing. My 'full size' spare is a Conti 205 55 R16...is that right? I thought that it would match the other four, not necessarily by brand but by size.
  10. Hi Is there any difference between the hatch & estate for these blinds, are they model specific? My mate has an estate & is after a pair - much needed with this cracking weather :sun:
  11. My VRS is less than two years old & taken in for first service on its variable (18.5k) I'd noticed that the AC wasn't performing & mentioned it at the service desk to be told the AC probably needs a re-gas & its not covered by your warranty . They needed to re-gas it to test & wanted £75 for the privilege, told them to forget it. Turns out Skoda are doing a full AC service & re-gas for £49.99 so I took mine to a local dealer who serviced the AC, gave the car a health check, wash & vacuum for £49.99, its now working ok.
  12. Spoke to SUK today. They agreed to four new tyres with a 75% contribution from them & the four wheel alignment under warranty. Have to say that they talked complete common sense & if thats their stance why do the dealers have to behave so shoddily or indifferently. This could've been sorted out two weeks ago. Interestingly SUK told me not have either Dunlop or Bridgestones fitted, any other premium brand would be acceptable. The tyres need to be fitted before the alignment.
