  1. Hi mate I only realised after I'd posted. Hopefully the sticker you found will have solved the problem. Mine is louder than ever an really doing my head in. I've got a really low tollerance for creaks/rattles in cars and I'm at the end of my patience. I know exactly where it's coming from as I can replicate without the car even moving by moving the strut that's inside the end of the dash. Think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and book into the dealer. Didn't really want them tampering with the dash but don't think I've any option. I'm not up for dismantling half the dash myself on a 3 month old car. Nightmare!!!!
  2. My car is now making exactly the same noise. I've taken the side panel od the dash off and the noise still happens. I've narrowed it down to the plastic crossmember underneath the side panel that seems to hold the dash, glovebox and all the other parts together. It's driving me insane and I'm close to the same frustration as oobster!
  3. Does anyone know if this new improved version that works with rSAP or handsfree actually exists. I cannot find any reference to it and any sources at VAG seem to deny any knowlege of this whatsover. Not sue if its just rumours!! If it exists it will solve my problem with incompatibility with my Iphone!!
  4. I just picked up my VRS last weekend which is a MY11 spec. It has GSM III which does not work with standard bluetooth and is rSAP Secific. Checked with Skoda UK who say there is no intention to upgrade software or anything to make it both compatible with bluetooth and rSAP. They also contradict some of the threads on this site which say that you can swap the bluetooth unit out from under the driver seat and replace with a GSM II unit as they say the wiring and software are incompatible.
  5. Hi Phil, I had exactly the same question last week and took my car back to the dealer to find out. I assumed that they should be side lights as thats what they are on Octys with no DRL's. The dealer did not know and had to refer to Skoda UK technical team who advised that the bulbs are not used in the VRS. Its a standard headlight, hence the bulb being in there but not conected. The DRL apparently should be the side lights on the VRS, which begs the question, why do the DRL's become dimmer when you put them onto Side Light mode. In effect you get more light from the DRL during the day than at dusk. This does not make sense to me. I wondered if anyone else had found the same problem! cheers Fraser
  6. Cool, any pics you can get me of the front angle of the car and a couple of interior pics of the seats wouldbe great. This will be the first pics i've seen of the white vrs with leather. i'm gonna order in the next day or so and canny wait!!! cheers F
  7. Thanks for the pics. Really helped. Dealer has tried to tell me that leather seats were the same as you get on the limited edition but i didn't think so. They look good though. Cheers F
  8. Hi There I'd be very grateful if someone could post pictures of their new shape Octavia VRS in white. I am currently trying to decide what colour to purchase the car in but unable to see the car in the flesh so would appreciate some help with making my choice. I am also thinking about upgrading the seats to leather, however again unable to get a decent pic (apparently the one's in the brochure are incorrect). Thanks in advance for any of your help.
