  1. My 1.2 DSG had the same symptoms and was replaced earlier on in the year. Dealer had to take it out first and send photos of the swarf on the magnets to SUK before they would agree to replacement, I think otherwise it would have been over £2k. Just had the timing belt changed too at 19k, it was starting to sound like a bag of nails on cold start up.
  2. Got my car back this morning - it's like a different car to drive. All the hesitatation when starting off in first has gone and that was there from day one. No juddering either. Brilliant!
  3. Getting mine back tomorrow morning. The Fabia DSG I have had on loan with much the same engine/gearbox is much smoother on take up than mine ever was from new,so fingers crossed.
  4. Talking of aerials, when I was in the dealers last week I noticed that the ones on the showroom stock had much thicker ones on. You wouldnt easily snip them. Has the design changed lately?
  5. That's exactly how mine started and slowly got worse. Good luck with it!
  6. No not the same - it's a different box in the diesil anyway isnt it. Wasnt dropping out of gear more like the judder you get when an abs is activated only you are accelerating not braking
  7. I have been having trouble with an intermittent juddering from stationary for about 3 months now especially under load uphill or fully loaded. After a few trips to the dealer with no fault codes coming up they finally took out the box for inspection and whatever they found, SUK have agreed to a complete replacement box. Slight problem is that there arent any replacement boxes in the country. Dealer (who wasnt the supplying dealer)has kindly loaned me a car meanwhile anyway. Mine was one of the first 1.2DSG's in the country so I hope this is a rare occurence for other DSG owners sake. Wouldnt like to be stumping up in excess of £3k when it was out of warranty.
  8. 1.2DSG, exactly 12 months old with 8,500 miles on the clock The maxidot says the 1st service is due but according to the build code it is on variable servicing. The service book does have written in 1st service is due in 12 months. I have checked with the service department at the supplying dealer and they say the oil will be fully synthetic cos that is all they use and they wouldnt have changed it to fixed servicing anyway. So should I reset the maxidot and get it serviced at say 16k or what? Would the warranty be affected if I did wait? Your advice would be appreciated.
  9. Is that a spelling mistake Mac? Should the r be an n or a t?
  10. If you have an S model, there is a centre armrest with a sliding top now on ebay for £89.00 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Skoda-YETI-2009-Armster-Armrest-Brand-New-/200501249126?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2eaece4466
  11. [The rear seats removed photo shows a Jumbo box between the front seats. The S trim actually has a lower tray there with a selection of open cubbies for cups, phones and a pen clip. I actually prefer it that way. When I drove the SE demonstrator I found that the Jumbo box got in the way of operating the handbrake a bit. They get away with the errors by the usual get out clause. I do agree with you about the jumbo box and the handbrake , especially when you have the lid slid forward. My wife's Altea has the handbrake nearer to the passenger side and its so much easier. I believe LHD SM's have the handbrake also next to the drivers seat so it must be delberately swapped over for RHD versions.
  12. The standard sticky-on aerial you get with the likes of the Pure Highway are not suitable for heated screens. You would have to go for an external one. Lots of useful info on www.dabonwheels.co.uk
  13. See this thread http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/165262-bolero-bluetooth-audio-enable/
  14. See thread - http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/165571-delivery/ seems you can enable it to stream music from the i-phone. Incidentally my Yeti is week 22 build.
  15. Thanks for the answer, saved me time trying to get it to work - typical of SUK I suppose to miss options off
