  1. So it’s got the dry system then with a soot filter/trap?
  2. As it’s an 06 plate car, I wouldn’t expect it to have a dpf to be honest. Have a look underneath on top of the rear axle where it will have a Eolys tank if it’s got a dpf. It’ll also have a dpf sensor on the bulk head on the right just behind the battery with 2 soft pipes going to it if it’s got a dpf. If it does have one then it’ll be the wet fluid dpf style and not the later dry system. The only way to be sure really is to have it on Vida and scan it and see what it shows. If there’s a checksum error of any kind then it’s been mapped which indicates either tuning and/or deletion of something.
  3. Have they gone into liquidation or trading still under a different guise?
  4. A real noob question here, but first some background. Ive got bt infinity and upstairs it’s great. I want to use it in my back porch and have used a WiFi extender in the past which is great when I’m on top of it but if I’m 5 meters away then it’s crap. I admit there is a closed door in between but it should still work. I’m now thinking of an additional router from the phone line socket downstairs with a cable and a router that’s nearer to the rear porch....... is this his going to work or not? The internet line is wired into the master socket and has 3 lines off it currently so can I use a filter and another router or is it more in depth than that? cheer
  5. Works fine if I bypass it. I’ve added a booster this morning and all works fine now. Cheers.
  6. Just had a new tv aerial installed due to ageing cabling and a 15yo aerial. It was originally boosted by a box plugged into the mains and the setup was the same in terms of new and old wiring/cabling.The tv aerial comes into the house and into the back of a Panasonic hdd recorder, then passes through to the tv. When the Panasonic unit is in standby, I get all channels in the tv. When it’s being used ie on, it stops some of the channels being broadcast on the tv. Would a booster be the answer? It worked fine with the same setup before but now is being gay. thanks
  7. Ironically, I never even thought of John Lewis at all.......and I work for Waitrose so would get discount on any jl purchase! They also have the tv that I was looking at for £70 less, then there’s my discount on top......and yes, as said.....5 yr garrantee!
  8. It connects via Bluetooth from what I can see in the instructions. Ive decided to put up with the purple splodge for the short term and have a good look around at what I could replace it with. I’m toying with another Samsung but I might see if I can get a good earl on extended warrantee. I’m sure I saw that curry’s were offering 5 years now on tvs as well so might look seriously into it.
  9. Yeah, had it from curry’s 3 1/2 years ago, and after contacting them, they sent me towards Samsung. At that point curry’s only offered 2 years on them as satiated on the receipt I have. I’m not massively pee’d off if I’m honest as it was only a £249tv they had on offer and I’ve honestly used it probably every day near enough.
  10. Typically I’ve had the tv just over 3 years and it’s gone funny! I have a led Samsung tv that’s recently started to show a purple hue in the bottom right corner. It’s about 3 inches by 3 inches and is more noticeable with lighter white backgrounds. I’ve done all the self diag stuff with the tv and been in contact with Samsung who say it’s out of warrantee and probably not worth fixing.....although they can send an engineer for a small charge to have a look....erm no thanks. Having looked around the internet it seems a common problem. So I’m in the market for a new tv I guess around £600 max and no bigger than 50 inches. I have a couple of questions though...... I have a samsung sound bar that I link wirelessly to the tv, can this be wireless to another make ie LG? I’m not keen on Samsung again, but what do other people have/recommend?
  11. They do some triathlon stuff in the summer I think. Have a search on Facebook for cycling Mallory, there’s plenty of info on there.
  12. Still love the c30s, and a manual d5 is a rarity indeed. A remap will see that keep up with most things on the road worth much more. Never liked the grey and white seats, so much so I had my old ones in my c30 changed to black. Look forward to seeing what you do to it.
  13. I’d reckon that if they worked till you messed with them then they didn’t, then it must be a fuse. says it’s fuse 35 on here as well. http://www.skoda-auto.com/en/mini-apps/owners-manuals/pages/fabia-54.aspx?requestOwnersManualOnlineVersion=en/Fabia_54/11-2014/Manual/Fabia/online&requestOwnersManualLanguage=en&requestOwnersManualEditionDate=11-2014#!pageId=00502
  14. Hey up mucka! How’s tricks? Back in the fold I see, in a monte. Nice to see you back mate.
  15. I go regularly to the weds nights with my bike. Have a mate who goes swimming in the lake at the same time as well. Decent fun for a fiver.
  16. Problem with the dam is no matter what, it's always bloody windy on there!
  17. Love Rutland and regularly do the whole circuit of 22.5 miles on my mtb. Always stop at the horse and jockey for a half way pint too! Always park on the dead end road by the barns dale hall hotel as it's free if you can get a space, then head off round the reservoir in a clockwise direction.
  18. Trainers are ok for keeping the miles in your legs and a bit of resistance training but you need a structure in my opinion. Have a look at a heart rate monitor and some hr training examples on google, these add much more structure and make it worth while come when you start out on the roads again.
  19. Still looking good John, like the new gearstick mod.
  20. Glad to to hear the climb out of settle isn't too bad! staying in morcambe in the Best western hotel then the first night after 60 miles we are in the Foresters arms in grassington end of day 2 in the gillygate pub 3rd night unsure currently as we've on;y just decided to stay over after the final leg as it's a bank hol.
  21. Doing the way of the roses this year from 26 may to 28th may. Doing it with 4 other people over 3 days but staying in morcambe overnight on the 25th, and Bridlington overnight on the 28th before we head home. Not done anything like this before but really looking forward to it......apart from what looks a horrific climb out of settle and a short and sharp climb just outside burnsall. Other than that can't wait! Also booked in for the charity ride for norpip round silverstone circuit on 1st may this year. Have done this before and it's a nice way to get the miles in the legs.
  22. Got a bloke in to have a look. A couple of wires had broken down over the years so he swapped out the cable outside and all working now.
