I saw that but does that only apply to the front door?:confused: Ive looked at the other rear door and the screws run round the edge and you need the door open to get at them Cheers Neil & Nicky

Hi guys and girls Hopefully someone can help me? The rear off side door on my Octy VRS Mk 1 has decided to stay locked.:confused: Have tried to hold the knob up to try and open the door. Need to open the door to get the panel off to have a look whats wrong but cant as I need to open the door:( Has anyone come across this before and has anybody any idea how I can open the door or get the panel off? :confused: Didn't know that it had two.:eek: Might be best to change the two then. Where abouts are they? Is it a big job? The worst thing is it is booked in for its MOT next week so I will have to get something sorted by then and dont fancy paying loads of bills Where can I buy them from? hiya all, have got a skoda octavia vrs and the lambda sensor has gone. does it need to go into skoda to be done or can i do it myself? if i can, where would be the best place to get one and roughly how much? bit pigged off with it as it was only done by skoda 2 yrs ago and the car has only done 15000miles since done:thumbdwn: neil

Well I took mine to the main stealer on Monday to have it plugged in to the diagnostic machine. Anyway, they come back and told me that the only problem with it was a rear brake sensor:confused:. So they changed that and 'touch wood' the hesitation hasn't happened since. What I cant understand though is why it would be something like that, that has caused its hesitation :confused::confused: And it only cost me £22 so I'm happy :D Good fellas at Faintree

think i'm going to have to get it to skoda! if i take it out i will still have to vag.com it:weeping:. plus with this new problem it might be more than that! will let you know how i get on:):)

happy new year to you all! last night i noticed when i was driving that at certain times (round about 2000rpm) i went to put my foot down on the throttle and it just stuck at 2000rpm? only for a brief second or 2 and then it was fine again:confused: it gradually kept doing this but not all the time? at no point did it cut out or the tickover drop down or any engine management or warning lights appear on the dash? any ideas?:confused::confused::confused:

have read this thread and it sounds like the same sort of problem i have just started to get with my vrs! is it an easy job to clean it out or does it really need to go int o a specialist? ta:)

hiya to you all. hav'nt been on the site for a long time as been building another project:). am after a bit of advice about how to do the brakes on my 2003 skoda octavia vrs, manily the rear ones. have heard that i have to screw the caliper back in? how do you do that and do i need a special tool? is there anything i should note when doing both front and rear (does anything need disconnecting?) also does anybody know where is the best place to get them from as there seems to be a vast difference in price! thanks for any help Neil:thumbup:
