I had quad bypass in July. Got infection in chest wound. Infection was due to minute amount of stitch left inside. Infection persisted for a couple of months, constantly getting dressing changed at surgery. Had antibiotics a couple of times. Easy to say now, but it passed; as did the very painful healing process in the chest. I've been back at work for a couple of months or so and I feel ok. Can lift the grandchildren again... I found the best thing for me was to walk as much as possible. And red wine. Of course.

One of the things I have always liked about Briskoda is the tolerance and respect that members generally show one another. I just thought that those qualities seemed to be absent in this thread. But maybe that's just naive.

Car being built week of 5th November. Delivery end of November.

I emailed SUK yesterday, mentioning my concerns about VW 1.4 TSI oil consumption issues. I got a call today from SUK and the girl said that while there may have been a "few" problems in the past, a recent change to the engine has fixed the problem. This will be on all "new" cars. Whatever that means. Very vague, couldn't get any more specific detail.
