  1. Give marlborough skoda a call. They seem to buy alot of nearly new CR.
  2. It does seem this this issue in the OP's case. I experienced this in my 1.6CR aswell. It seems like the ASR would cut power as you go over a hump in the road as the feeling is exactly the same as ASR cutting power.
  3. Seems like thats the reason why marlborough skoda was so keen on buying my 1.6 CR. Looking on their site they seem to be stocking up on diesels ready for the price rise.
  4. It was on 6k when I advertised it. Seems like they put the advert on yesterday before they had the car. Just need to ebay the rest of the stuff now.
  5. Finally dropped the octavia of at the dealer yesterday. Picked up on the 26/5 and enjoyed 6 months of ownership. Just ticked over 7k miles as I arrived at the dealer. Only fault during the 6 months was the petrol cap didn't close properly but that was fixed promptly. Fuel consumption was disappointing at 49MPG but I learnt not to but a small engine again. It was a very good car but my circumstances changed which meant I no longer needed it. I'm also pleaseantly suprised at the residue for the Octavia. Bought for £16k and only lost £1.5k in 6 months and 7k miles, which equates to just over £200/mth. Considering my part ex needed under £2k of work the Octavia didn't cost me much. Anyways, this is goodbye from me for now but hopefully I'll return in the form of a Superb Estate next year. Just spotted the advert for it. Was told they had a buyer for it already so not sure why it is advertised. http://www.marlborough.uk.com/CarStockDetail.asp?Manufacturer=Skoda&OwnerCarId=1298893 Currently have no car as my new one hasn't arrived yet (on the boat from france as we speak).
  6. Forgot I started this thread. I'm pretty certain I'll go with them as it makes settling the finance easier. Just need to see when my new one arrives. You say I should get good part ex prices but I kept getting offered £2k under Marlborough offer when I tried to part ex it. Still good to hear skoda is retaining its value.
  7. Finally advertised the Octavia on AT this pm and had a call off Marlborough Skoda straight away. They have an offer I'm pleased with and tempted to sell to them but just wondered if anyone had any experience with them regarding selling them a car? He seems very keen on this car for some reason. Wonder if he already has a buyer for it?
  8. I think it cost just under £16k new.
  9. I'm happy with £13.5k espcially its just them buying it off me. I just expected more as a part ex tbh.
  10. What is the current rate for a my current car (see sig)? It has done 5k miles and in excellent condition. These are the offers so far: Skoda - £13.5k Renault - £13k part ex Looked at the network q glass guide and its showing £14.5k. I'm looking at cost to change as the important figure but the I need a good part ex price. What do you guys think?
  11. I ran WRG2s on my daily last year and would definately recommend them. As said they are classed as all season but also have the snowflake symbol on the tyre wall.
  12. The AFS side of the xenons seems to be misbehaving. Every once in a while it will start up and do its up and down checks but seems like there is a problem that stops it from it side to side check which mean conering lights don't work. Any ideas why before I take it in? On a positive note, I have decided that any new cars I consider must have Xenons and conering lights they provide so much more visibility.
  13. I'd prefer to collect from the dealer if possible. It is part of the new car experience for me. What is the limit for delivery mileage? 200miles? The Octavia had 5 miles when I collected it. The MINI had 0 miles (0.5 to be exact) but it did only the line, straight onto the truck and off at the dealers compound which is where I saw it.
  14. 5k in 3 months and not that impressed with 46-48MPG on average. This is driving as gently as I can and still actually move up any kind of gradient. So disappointed I'm off to the dealers tomorrow to see what they would offer for it as a part ex. :(
  15. Still not resolved. The techs can hear the noise but can't see anything obvious. They are going to investigate again next time when it is in for the filler cap. The noise is getting louder though.
