Mitchell Skoda tried to get me to have 2 new discs and 4 new pads fitted when only 2 new discs were needed. Took my Fabia VRS to a local garage instead and they fixed the problem at almost a third of the Mitchell Skoda quote. Mitchell Skoda also charged me £25 for simply looking at the car after I said I didnt want the work doin! The car is still under warrenty! Even if they do give you free coffee I will never go back to Mitchell Skoda again. Total rip.

I am lovin the PS2 idea! Y didnt i think of that??? cos im dense thats y! Wud b nice to have a swish touch screen DVD player in the car tho! Dont like the idea of havin to wire up into the glove box! drillin the dash etc :( dont wana hurt her! Any one done sumthin similar? got any pointers? Im in cheshire, does anyone know of any places that would take a look and have a stab at installin a DVD player/screen or maybe a PS2??? Cheers again E

Well its all in there now and im happy with the set up! and to b honest if its not a problem to hav both all i will have is more songs! wud hav the MP3 dvd player, Net MD players and 10 CD's of MP3's in my changer! thats quite alrite 4 me! plus i think il b gettin a single disc DVD player so i wud hav to switch DVD's from music to films depending on what i wanted to do! Just as long as i no my options tho, thanx alot for your input Cheers

wow thanx for the fast reply! well at the mo i hav a sony MD head unit with a sony 10 disc MP3 changer in the boot! so its a nice little set up! but alas no screen! Am i missin somethin? do u think theres a better option? E

Just a quick thought.... I would like to put a DVD player with touch screen in my Fabia. Currently i have a standard sized Sony head unit and i would like to keep that in. Does anyone know if the space that is left in the dash is big enough to house 2 standard sized units? IE my sony head unit and a DVD flip out screen??? And if so is it at all possible or am i dreaming??? Think its the same principle as in VW Golfs etc. Any help?? Cheers E

Ok, so ive had my Fabia VRS (or my SKUMVEE as my friends have christened it) and I love it to bits. But i was just wondering what i can do to it to make it that little bit better? I dont want to go mad here as money is an issues but at the moment i was thinking tinted windows (cos its black and i think it would look cool) and one of those shark fin antennas. (has anyone ever fitted one of these before??? know where i can buy/fit cheap???) Not much of a techie in terms of what goes on under the hood to make it shift like it does, but im all up 4 making it go a little faster. Nothin stupid tho, thats going to cost a bomb or get me in trouble with the old bill. Any surgestions??? Any pointers welcome Thanx Eboe

Hi, thought i would register with BRISKODA cos it seems like a great place to chat and get advice from people in the know about SKODA's. First time SKODA driver! Got me a Black FABIA VRS from Gorner Warrington (very nice people)! Gotta say my car kicks ass! I love it! Cheap to run, not a killer on the insurance but eats up the road faster than a fat kid that sat down to fast! Few problems with a grinding noise from the rear brakes, took it back and new ones put straight on! Cant say fairer than that! Chat to you guys soon Eboe
