I have for sale a pair of front 312mm brakes in red from an Audi S3. Not fitted to my car as I managed to get hold of some Octavia ones in green around the same time. They were working correctly the last time they were fitted to a car, but have been sat for a few months outside. As you can see from the pictures, they are a bit grubby. The pads have a decent amount of material left, the discs have a small lip and are a bit rusty from being sat for a few months. They're also missing two bolt caps from the caliper to carrier bolt holes on one caliper, but to be honest they've been sat for a few months anyway so I'd recommend a strip down/rebuild before use. Brakes include calipers, carriers, discs and pads. In light of condition, price is £50 collection only from Uxbridge/West London area.

Checked and it's turned out to be just a faulty battery connection, so that's sorted and all good now! Cheers for the replies!

My battery has gone completely flat after three days not being used, I'm not aware of anything being left on to have caused it. It's an almost brand new battery (Bosch silver only bought a couple of months back) and it didn't display any signs electrical faults/alternator issues going over the last week driving it - the first I have known is going to unlock the car yesterday, to find it stone cold dead (no flicker of life at all). It's been suggested that it might be the diode pack on the alternator and to do an amp drop test (which I will in a bit). It does have a parrot kit, but I've never had any problems with this for two years of it being fitted, so don't know why it should start now. The wiring has been butchered in the back of the radio though, so possibly earthing there - I will check that too. Aside from this does anyone have any suggestions? Anyone with the same problem?

Looking good mate, I've got a set of these waiting to go on. FYI buy them direct from brake depot next time, exact same set cost 120 posted ;-). Keep us updated as to how well they perform over time -got mintex on currently and managed to warp the discs after 6 months (although tbh that was probably my shocking driving skill lol)

Ever head up Swinley forest way? I go there fairly regularly, so would be up for joining you dependant on when you go?

Steerer tube length (bit of tube inside the bike) and don't forget to swap the headset race over (small ring on top of crown, at bottom of steerer tube)

Right, got this checked out finally, and turns out the compressor is gone at a cost of £700 from Skoda. Are the compressors available separately, and has anyone ever replaced one? I am aware the gas needs to be removed, so possibly could be done somewhere, do the work then re-gas. How much work is involved? Any help greatly appreciated!
