Can someone tell me if the heated mirrors are standard on all octavias models. Mine is a 2010 vrs and it has the heated mirror symbol on the door mirror switch but it does not seem to work for me. Thanks

Hi mate, mine did the same thing on my 2010 model, took it back to dealer and was sent to bodyshop under warranty to be sorted out. No problem with it now, as mentioned try another dealer and say you want it sorting out under warranty.

Hi someone mentioned to me the other day that skoda are recalling new FL Vrs Octavias due to paint missing from part of the Brake Calipers???? Has anyone else heard about this, and if so do we need to contact the dealer or just wait till we get contacted ???? :wonder:

In my opinion if you have a new car and you are having problems with the paintwork ( stonechips not included ) get back to your dealers and make your voice known. They should sort it out under warranty, dont try and do it yourself, let them sort it out. You have paid the money and you expect the service.

Mine is Corrida Red and it looks awesome, my own opinion is white and yellow and black show up the muck more easily and everyone seems to be going for race blue. Why do you think ferrari's and porsche's always seem to go for the reds and are the better sellers in those colours than the other colours they produce !!!!!! :p

Hi my new 10 plate octavia has normal headlights but if i wanted to pick up a set of xenon headlights would it be a simple case of replace one set for the new xenons or does it involve altering relays and wiring and the light switch as well????? :wonder:

Hi yes its so easy to use and works ok for me. It took me about 10mins in all to fit the bumper protector.

Would be nice if we all turned up at the same time so we can all put faces to profile names !!!!? Sods law i turn up and no other one there except ben ( nothing wrong with that though Ben ) Maybe next time you decide to have one maybe give out a bit more notice like at least a few weeks or so. If it then rains we can have the BBQ in your new premises when you decide to get them :yes:

Another positive mark for Ben . I took my car in for him to do a few VCDS changes on my Octavia and i found him a very nice person to deal with ( told you that £10 you gave me would buy a positive remark ) and i was talking about a possible Remap on my VRS and he also said i could try it out first before committing but did not take up the offer just yet. ( Money needed for up coming hols in July, dont think wife be pleased using money on car and not holiday :'( ) Definately think about it later though. Yes Ben you do need bigger premises nearly knocked somone over trying to turn around in that little turning space in front of your premises.

Hi the two problems i have with my VRS is same regarding mud everywhere due to no mudflaps and the other is the water that comes into boot when the tailgate is opened. The rain water goes all over what ever is inside the boot, its a pain having to open it so slowly people laugh at you when at a shopping centre. But i have the last laugh when i race past them somewhere down the street when its safe to do so i hasten to add and leave them for dust etc I do not have any probs with the road noise and i have continentals on mine. My verdict is buy one but get in touch with customer service department at Skoda Uk and voice your opinions, you never know it may do some good on the next models they produce or facelift??? :yes:
