  1. ah, thought it might have been slightly wrong though. Can i ask though, does the figures on the fabias 0-60 do it justice?? obviously the figures are taken with a full tank of petrol, just wandered what peoples experiences have been with regard to it on like a quarter tank?? chris
  2. wow seriously?? i didnt think that at alll? i thought the octavia was generally quicker in all respects, it has a better 0-60 time doesnt it?? chris
  3. After looking at insurance, rangin from the octavia at over 5000, to the fabia under 2k, i think ill be going for the fabia. lol. I don't think anyone would disagree with that. chris
  4. "at night it really does look like a TT" What? Pitch black without the lights on in the middle of a field? ouch, id be embarassed
  5. have done, i know what to expect, lol, cheers for all your help guys, really is appreciated.
  6. thats exactly what im looking for, but its jsut the wrong time unfortunately, that does sound more or less perfect, shame, if only it was january!
  7. PS are there any skoda specialist insurers that might be worth trying for a quote?
  8. cheers for the advice guys, great help, like you say driving would probably make my mind up. However as iw ill be close to turning 19 at the time i guess money is also a deciding factor, im currently driving a rover 218is (118bhp). im on my parents policy at the moment but i want to start my own when i return from africa in january and before i go into the navy hopefully next july-september time. so i would be looking at getting one next january. The octavia definitely does appeal to me more, i don't know why, i just personally find it more attractive, but as you say driving them is probably a good idea. cheers again. chris.
  9. hi guys, aint been on here for a while since i sold my octavia, but I'm thinking of returning to skoda in a few months. thinking of either getting a fabia VRS or an Octavia VRS. As i will be just about to turn 19 at the time the fabia will be cheaper on insurance but i could get an octavia vrs for cheaper, so i guess in that sense they balance each other out. So my question is what are good points and bad points with reference to each car, The statistics on the fabia vrs don't look impressive but i've got a slight feeling the performance statistics dont do it justice, having never driven one i wouldn't know, this is why i'd like to ask your advice. cheers chris
  10. thanks guys, found the other posts, hmmmm, i will try i think, will have to see, cheers, chris.
  11. Hi there, I was wandering if anyone has a guide of how to replace the head and sidelights on the superb, I've got some nice brighter bulbs, just can't figure out how to get them in, any advice is appreciated. cheers, chris.
  12. Hi there, I'm wanting to get a snooper or Road Angel, only problem is I find there a little highly priced for me, so here is what I have come up with: Im in the Computer Business ( I make computers), i would be willing to make one to a spec you want as long as the price fits, and in return would trade it for one of the good Road Angels or Snoopers. If your interested email me at [email protected] cheers, chris.
  13. oo, that sounds a lot better than the first one, nice one, cheers, chris.
  14. heya. i tried sprayin it rally red in preparation to put it on, it was originally silver, however, the red spray is comin off pretty easy so it cud easily go back 2 silver i fink, i dunno tho, I would sell it, but i dont know what kind of price they go for, give me an offer and I'll see what I think, it was my dad thatfound it so I'd ask him for his advice. Hope to hear from you soon, chris.
