  1. Phil, Thanks for your reply. I managed to find out the air intake box next to the front grille was vibrating at 1500 rpm. With a little tape job done. Regards Dave
  2. Hi, I'm also in Germany and just did had to do this, this afternoon. If your quite mechanically savvy it involves undoing 18 bolts and some plastic clips to get the bumper off. I didn't have to take the wheel arches out to do it. I'm in Hohne if your local I may be able to help Regards Dave
  3. This is quite loud from inside the car and still sounds even when the engine is at operating temperature.
  4. I have just collected my 2nd Superb Estate. This one has a 140ps engine. I have noticed today whilst driving around town that the engine makes a growling/vibrating noise between approx 1450 - 1500rpm. It fades away as the revs increase. It is only noticeable when holding the engine revs at this speed. I had the 1.9tdi PD before and this did not make any noise like this one. Is this normal for this engine, has anyone had anything similar to this or is a trip to the garage required? Many Thanks Dave
  5. I have the 1.9 tdi pd. I can confirm that it does not have dpf.
  6. Thanks for the offer of you friends details but a bit too far away from Hohne. Have booked it into the garage to get done. Quoted 100-120euro
  7. Thanks rab, Looks like a trip to the garage. can't be bothered with the hassle of removing bumpers etc. Shame its not just a couple of bolts.
  8. I need to swap my headlights for continental ones. I have the SE model (halogen lights). Is this a simple job or does it require a trip to garage to get done. Thanks in advance.
  9. When i took delivery of my Superb Estate it, like yours had an off set steering wheel. I took it to the Skoda service center and they sorted it no problem.
  10. I've the SE. I ordered Halogen LHD with mine for around £300. I can't see why a skoda dealer could not fit these for you instead of the Bi-Xenon and remove the adaptive settings.
  11. This is the fact. A friend of mine has Bi-Xenon and had to buy LHD to pass the BFG light test. You're looking at about a grand for a brand new set. I have not seen any second hand advertised in local papers for sale. Sorry to be the barer of bad news.
  12. I can confirm that you will need continental headlights to pass the test. Not sure if you will be able to get the normal continental Halogen one's fitted instead of the Bi-Xenon. It could save you a small fortune.
  13. Just got one of these two days ago. The sound overall is fantastic, the engine is louder than normal, but with a quality and assurance that you will be noticed for the right reasons. I was used to an S-Max 125hp. Although the hp is lower than the S-Max the weight of the Superb evens this out in terms of power. The major difference between this and the Ford is without doubt, QUALITY, VALUE & WOW FACTOR!
  14. I ordered this on 11 Apr 10. Collected it on 26 Jul 10 (pre-arranged and delivered 3 wks before to dealer). Superb Estate SE 105Tdi Magic Black Sunset Glass Continental Headlights £14215 total. My first Skoda. Totally, Totally chuffed to bits with it. Value for money or what!!
  15. Hopefully both are already on, although i haven't had it confirmed from anyone yet.
