I have recently purchased an early 2017 L & K Superb . Is there a way to turn on the Traffic Sign Recognition and High Beam Assist functions. I hear the phrase Vcds, is this the magic I seek?

I am currently downloading from the official site and it is downloading to my c:drive, do i have to cancel this download, erase the sd card and then redo the download (which is taking over an hr) direct to the freshly emptied sd card?

Help required sorry to be such a technophobe..... Somewhat confused as to how to update maps. I have submitted my vin number, a new map is available. I have copied the SD card from my Amundsen unit on to the hard drive of my computer. I am currently down loading a file ending... Q1.15zip to somewhere on my computer's C: drive. What do I do when the downloading finishes, and how do I get it back on to the Sd card from my car (do I have to erase the previous data from the SD card....a little bit apprehensive about wiping all the map details). Do i have to unzip it (whatever that means) before copying back to the sdcard. I have looked at the instuctions, but they don't take into account technophobes like me. I look forward to positive instructions from you helpful people

I have a MY15 SCOUT and just noticed this condition - although my missus said she had been aware of it for a couple of months. I guess i will have to get in contact with the dealer sometime in the future. Strange that the passenger side does not seem to be effected.

Finally got round to booking in My MK111 Scout for Shark Remap. Looking forward to seeing Ben and the new premises.Fingers crossed I will be as happy with that as I am with the Mk 2 with remap.

I am in a very fortunate position of owning 2 Scouts The first was bought new in 2010, went to town with the optional extras (Columbus SATNAV, mfsw, telephone connection, alcantara and electric seats, Xenons, variable boot floor. Bought it following a rather underwhelming BMW ownership period (car less than suited to the 2 previous harsh winters). I had it remapped by SHARK in Mansfield, it has now done 80K miles and has never missed a beat. Still looks and feels immaculate. When it came to replacing our second car it was a an absolute no brainer......a new MK 3 Scout 2.0 TDI manual in metallic grey, not been disappointed with it, The basic spec is far superior to that of the MK2 so not much from the options list this time however did still opt for electric seats. The engine is somewhat quieter, although lacking the character of the PD engine under initial acceleration. Perhaps another trip to Mansfield is on the cards.......The grey is a bugger to keep clean, but easy than white of black i would imagine!! Great cars, yet not commonly seen

The other day I was driving to work, i had been on the move for approximately 35minutes on B roads , I was on a balanced throttle at approximately 45mph in 5th gear, the road was level and the engine was clearly not being taxed, then all of a sudden the engine spluttered as if it were about to stall, but then it regained its normal noise and smoothness, as stated in the topic heading ...it was but momentary.. I would have let it go, but on the way home the same thing happened in exactly the same driving conditions. No warning lights illuminated and no fault notifications on dash. Vehicle MK 3 Scout 2.0TDI manual, with approx 4700miles on the clock. Fuel tank was half full. Any suggestions as to the cause? For those interested in fuel economy.......It returned a genuine 47.13mpg over the first 100hrs of driving (based on tank to tank refill calculations). The onboard computer recorded 51.0mpg for the same period, so an error of just shy of 10%

I had the good folk at Shark remap my Mk11 Scout from the factory 140bhp to approx 173bhp, an excellent move on my behalf. Has anyone had the 150bhp TDI remapped ?

Thanks for all the constructive comments. The car is currently with the dealer - hopefully the issue will be rectified this week. For those who asked...no panoramic roof, so I think it MUST be a case of poor windscreen sealing from the factory.

Still waiting for the dealer to get back to me.......I'll give them another hour before contacting Skoda UK customer services. This has taken the shine off the new car experience - hopefully only temporarily. My main concern is the long-term detrimental effect the water might have in and around the internal mirror electrics, not to mention if it has got into the lane assistance/high beam assist gubbings.

The nearest dealer can't look at for over a week...meanwhile I have a plastic bag hanging from the rearview mirror catching rain water.......

Picked up my new Scout on Tuesday, went out to it this morning, thats odd i thought as i saw some water pooled in the gearlever gaitor. As i drove the car I was splashed by water going round a left turn, then the passenger seat got splashed as i went round a right hand bend. The source ...... the internal mirror has water pooling in it. This is not an optional extra I ordered. Anyone else experienced this phenomena ? I am obviously trying to contact the dealer in the first instance.......typical though, I choose to use a dealer nearly 200miles from home.

I too spoke with my dealer on Tuesday to be informed that my car was still in Emden, and unfortunately it wasn't going to be on the Schelde Highway either. I think I will have to resign myself to not now picking it up on Sat 27th as I had originally hoped to do. Will now have to wait until at least Mon 5th Jan to collect due to unavoidable commitments. Will call the dealer later today though .....more in hope than expectation.

I know it's not the complete answer you are after, however, I think the dealer should be able to tell you when it has been loaded on the ship and the name of the ship, then you could use an app such as Marine Traffic (other apps are available). I am waiting for further news of my SCOUT which I know arrived at Emden on TUESDAY of this week. Being nosey, what are you waiting for ?

I ordered a Scout with a few factory fitted extras at the end of October, was phoned by my dealer last week to say that my vehicle had been built ( exactly the build week the dealer told me it would be within days of placing the order). Had a further update earlier this week to say it had reached port of exit, so hopefully i will be able to pick it up on the 27th December when i have a free day to travel north to collect it. So far, throughout the buying experience I can't rate the dealer highly enough - well done Dennis Horton & Son of Lincoln.

Ah, I ordered a Scout recently with the iphone connection (i will actually only be using an ipod for music storage ). I am guessing because i lose the usb connection facility on the dash i wont be able to benefit from this Mirrorlink facility . Woud this be the case ? Can anyone who has opted for the apple connection 100% confirm whether the usb port is definitely not present.

Thanks for that, strangely i will be picking up my MK111 Scout from Horton's in the near future, I will be keeping the MK11 so I will definitely explore that avenue.

Have a Columbus Sat Nav fitted in my '10 Scout, the dealer updated it to take full uk postcodes in early '11. Thought it about time to update the maps as found myself apparently driving in no man's land in Poole a few weeks ago. Just checked the cost for the maps.....£190....this can't be correct can it? Anyone one know of a way round the above astronomic price?

Any chance of being able to pass on the details of the online link ? On the strength of Bill's pictures he posted, I went and ordered the Metallic grey colour - manual gearbox ( old fashioned i am). I will likely as not visit Shark for a remap shortly after taking delivery - as i did with my current MK11 (which i will be keeping)

I paid the deposit on 18/10/2014 for a new Scout with a few factory options. Got telephone message from dealer earlier this week suggesting build would take place late November......hope they meant November 2014! Anyone else ordered a Scout with factory options in the last couple of weeks able to shed light on possible build date ?

Went into my local dealer recently to discuss the rather marvellous Octavia Scout, and I was advised that the Amundsen SATNAV was to be replaced by a new larger screened unit from wk 42 builds .....anyone know where I can find details of the unit? (apologies if this topic has previously been discussed).

Can anyone help......... Near total Columbus system failure, no touch screen, no steering wheel control, no range selctor control - ie can't use any of the selector buttons at side of screen. All i am left with is a radio playing Heart FM very loud ( not my choice, wife was using car at time of the catastrophy.
