  1. thanks Foo and Wardth - i am INCREDIBLY excited by the soon to be bump arrival - selling my Evo 9 was a small sacrifice to make way for bump!! It was the ISOFIX in the vRS and the huuuuuge boot that sold it to me!! Now my maxicosy cabrio and iCandy Peach are my next big expenses - wow baby stuff is a costly business and i thought performance cars cost a lot to run ;o) lol... at least with V-power costing the earth it gives me another reason not to miss the Evo! Now where are those newspapers.... ;o)
  2. woo hoo!!!!!!!!!! DVLA came through and all is good to go for picking the vRS up on Saturday!!!! I thought the Superguarding inside and out was reasonable and to be honest i would rather pay someone to do it so i can use my time doing other things!! im a busy bee at the moment with my 1st bambino due in only 11 weeks, so right now my time is priceless lol!! Can't wait to pick up the baby mobile up! am very excited
  3. My lovely 2008 Octy vRS in magic black is waiting for me and my boyfriend to pick it up on Saturday from Motorline Canterbury - soo excited!! The dealership have been awesome and have colour coded my front grille for me, today the car is being superguarded inside and out and IF the DVLA come through my number plate should be transfered from my old car to the Octy - so i am praying the DVLA come through with the paperwork in time to the dealership so they can tax it for me.. *looks up and prays, come on DVLA*
  4. hahaha! same as every car forum then hey pictues of the ladies a requirement lol. ;o) im sure the Briskoda forum and Skoda ownership is gonna be fab - it's marking a whole new chapter in my life and am very excited about it! im still so impressed with the Octy - really looking forward to taking delivery of it on the 24th!
  5. thanks wardth... Only after rear windows and rear windscreen done.... i will defo leave the front windows (and windscreen lol of course) as they are... havent seen any black vRSs with tinted windows to compare some light/med/dark smoke tints effects - thats what im after as i dont wanna draw attention by going too dark! hadnt thought about the rear heated windscreen being affected by tinting?? does anyone know if this is the case?
  6. Hey fellow Octy owners... I am picking up my 2008 Octy vRS on the 24th April from Motorline Skoda in Canterbury and as it is now gonna be a new baby mobile i have decide to get the rear windows and rear windscreen tinted as i cant stand those stick on cat blinds and stuff youget from mothercare.... Has anyone got there Octy windows tinted and if so can you recommend what tints you used or got done? what percentage of light do your tints let through..i dont want drug dealer style complete black out, just dark enough to keep sun out of babies face and to look good against the black of the car... is 12% too dark? also question - on the front windows are you not allowed to get ANY tinting done? does the Octy already come with windows that already only allow 70% of light in? thanks!
  7. thanks for the welcomes! it sure is gonna be a massive shock going from the Evo 9 to the vRS - but was a small sacrifice to make for the soon to be bundle of joy in july!!! hahah @ Rob! am i cute? well i guess my boyfriend thinks so ;o)
  8. HI everyone - thought i would do the usual and introduce myself to you all! Hello - I'm VixyChick - a car loving petrol (now diesel) head from Basingstoke. After being a car nut for years and having joined every owners club for the car i have had i thought it only right to carry on with the Octy. I have just sold my absolutely beloved Mitsi Evo 9 FQ300 to make way for the practicality and muuuuuch cheaper running costs of the Octy vRS.... my boyfriend and i are expecting our first baby on July 3rd so we thought we should say a fare fondwell to the Evo beasty and get something more baby orientated!! So on saturday we bought our 2008 Octy vRS! i love it!! cant believe how much so in fact.. i had never been up to close to one before Saturday and we were both so impressed! Its the PD engine, i did do loooooads of research on PD v CR and decided that a PD would be fine and i shall just have to get used to the engine tone and performance, but no matter what i replaced my Evo with it was always going to be a comprismise.. im just happy that the Octy ticks so many other boxes.. We take delivery of it on the Saturay 24th and i cant wait.. BIG thanks to Louis and Mike at Motorline Skoda in Canterbury for their help and great service!! See you on the 24th for happy Octy vRS delivery day woo hooooo!!!
