Trusted wheel alignment garage.
I have problems with inner edge tyre wear on my Enyaq. I need to find a tyre depot that can be trusted to do a 4 wheel alignment in or around Oxford. I understand that Hunter is the machine of choice, bearing in mind that it is only as good as the guy using it. I have been quoted £450.00 by Marshall Skoda in Oxford. Who do others use?

Inner Edge Tyre Wear
Actually I'm on Skoda Lounge & Skoda Cz help me over another problem. I am in contact with them and they have called for all paperwork and what I've been told by my Dealership. I am OK with the 4 wheel alignment, the dealer gave me a price of £450 discounted to £150 +VAT. Skoda UK retold what the dealer had told them that there was an alignment problem with the battery pack in the IV80. Skoda UK seem to come out with quite a lot of bovine excreta. as you say also know as lying! Rears at normal unloaded pressure, but have increased today by 2 psi but i will keep an eye on things. Being an Old Fart I have a little problem getting on the ground to see the inner shoulder, so I am really relying on Skoda CZ. One thing I wonder about is this tyre problem across the Enyaq range or just the IV80? Do different makes of tyres wear better? Chris K.

Inner Edge Tyre Wear
Had a reply from Skoda UK, telling the tyre wear is normal for the mileage. had figures relayed from the dealership Service Manager. The statement claims that the amount of tyre wear is normal for the mileage - no mention of the inner edge abnormal wear that is on the MOT. The offer I had was a cutprice 4 wheel alignment after I had bought replacement tyres. That would make it 3 sets of rear tyres in 20,000 mls. I have now raised a complaint with Skoda CZ, we will see what that brings. Chris K.

Inner Edge Tyre Wear
I know this is an old post, but I am having the same problem. Skoda have admitted that there is aproblem with the battery pack on the IV80. I am still on original fronts at 20,000 miles, but are an advisory on the first MOT. The rear tyres had a warning from the dealership (Oxford) on 29/09/24 at 12616 mls saying they needed replacement. Dealer would not check tracking. Went to local tyre dealer and tracking was 'a long way out' I have before and after charts which is are bit technical. The bill for that was £726.00. Now 6000 miles later at the first MOT the rear tyres are on an advisory for abnormal wear. Like most complaints Skoda don't want to know. Any one else use the Oxford Skoda dealer with this problem Chris Kelland Wantage Enyaq IV80 Sportline.
