  1. is the CR TDI that bad a choice for someone doing ~8-10000 per year? Will I have DPF issues? there are very little petrol versions around...
  2. Currently have a base spec 2016 Fabia on PCP, ending in May. Got great deal - £100 a month and £700 deposit. great car for what it is - mechanical and fun as you have to work very hard to make progress :) After owning a mapped mark fabia VRS and a mark 2 Octy VRS, I need some VRS back in my life though! Looking at a 2014/15 Mk3. ideally petrol, but these seem pretty rare. I do little mileage on it (roughly 8-10000/year) - mostly a 10 mile commute, so I think I should avoid CR diesel due to DPF. I've been bitten once before by DPF in a ford TDCi, and I don't want those issues again. Are my worries correct? Any issues to note on the petrol VRS? I know about water pump. Budget is between £9-12k Thoughts?
  3. Anyone know any reason roof bars made for Octavia 2 estate with rails wouldn't fit an Octavia 3 estate with rails? Are they the same width? Thanks

  7. 4 steelies with Nankang snow SV2 winter tyres on. All have around 3/4mm at least. Comes with 4 hub caps. Bad bits 1 hub cap is cracked, but fits on fine and you car barely see crack. One tyre has had a professional repair done for puncture, now all fine. Brilliant grip in all inclement weather. Superb in cold and wet. Tyre info - http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Nankang/SV2.htm Looking for £200
  8. Away for Xmas now but will measure bars when I get back. They do whistle a little but I fix this with some electrical tape. No problem re wheels. Get back to me in new year....
  9. Ok, hard to tell as parents car doesn't have roof rails. The width seems ok though. Could do with actual measurements between bars!
  10. See above posts. Apparently not! you'd need to check the width of the bars. These bars are 109cm wide. I can check with my parents mk1 octavia tomorrow. Will report back.
