    Door mirrors

Because of visitors problems I no longer drive, wife does that now. The question is, can the elevtric folding mirrors be folded individualy eg just he passenger side for reversing down narrow areas. Thanks
  2. I actually have some "T" snapped Velcro grip devices called Easy Grip that go against the bags then grip the floor mat. Bought years ago, but no longer available. I had an Octavia with raised floor and spare wheel and the hooks where higher up, so got used to using them. PS. Any wrong spelling is my blurred vision. I can no longer drive, the wife does it????
  3. Has anyone come up with a solution to get the side bag hooks in the boot to hang shopping bags on when the spare wheel is instead. For example a means of raising the rails or altering the hooks. Not much point asking Skoda now with model change coming soon.
  4. Our Yeti SEL 1.2 Dsg with toys was due 12th Nov based on 12 week wait. We collected it last week October.
  5. Got call from dealer early last week saying it was in UK, 2 days later at dealer. Problem now was yesterday's collection day didn't happen due to DVLA registration site not working. Hope to collect tomorrow, but just found info on Twitter from this morning with guy and DVLA. He says it's them, they say it'dealers site. So waiting game continues.
  6. Our new 1.2 SEL dsg arrived at my dealers yesterday. Collect it Wednesday. One of many advantages of buying Skoda is VW/Audi have usually installed major components (engines/gearboxes) in their models first, before allowing Seat & Skoda to use them. But of course real world long term running is the only test. However 3 years warranty usually sorts things out. Once any car reaches 5 or 6 years old, anything can fail. It's pure chance.
  7. Ordered Yeti 1.2 SEL Dsg with quite a few extras middle of wk 34. Had call from dealer saying it's in the UK now wk 42, and has been allocates a car transporter to them. I've had 3 Octavias L&K x x and 1 vRs. This is the quickest build time yet. A month ahead than expected. Not a problem as vRs went in on order and were keeping the current Seat for now as a town tuner.
  8. Sometimes they use a pre done spec sheet in the computer progamme, might say silly things like, disc brakes, heated rear window etc. Done by people that know nothing about cars????. The miles will be error. My VRS sold within 3 days of going on sale, were asking £2000 over trade in price.14 reg "VRS" plate.
  9. Thanks "Vale". You've answered my question. The new car isn't due till November, but trying to answer all questions before I'm asked...My other half never drove any of my 3 Octavia's.Is currently driving a 09 Seat. She will be the driver of the Yeti, so technology will come as a shock I think.
  10. We haven't got our Yeti yet, of which my wife will be driving as I've surrendered my licence on medical grounds I've been explaining park assist. It came to mind that we have a long and at one point very narrow drive between 2 houses. Should it just keep reversing along that route using the steering until she stops manually. There was around 50mm each side of the mirrors on my Octy. But I didn't have assist.
  11. The mk 2 Octavia's with L&K & Vrs trims were partly built on the main product line, then moved to another factory for completion. Then by rail to the VW factory/ port at Emden. Then shipped with other VW group vehicles.
  12. I've changed the ballast resistor on a Corss and Astra in the past. As Vauxhall(Opel)is essential Germany, chances are ballast (variable) resisters are made by the same company.
  13. Have you tried an ordinary USB stick with music on to see if that works. If it's under warranty. You'd be better playing the "I can't get this to work" story. Alternatively find an independent auto or in car electrical specialist. Trying to sort modern car equipment, you could end up with even more damage unless you have the testing tools and skills.
  14. Should add, I keep a copy on my PC incase USb/Sd cad fails. Saves the getting upset if they do.
  15. I simply put all albums by the same artist/group in a folder, Named that for example,Fleetwood Mac. Then just go to that group as you'll know who's album you're looking for. For one off's simply add the article to the front of the album title. Works fine for me on a minute 32USB stick, that's permanently in. The Sd cad slot has all of my favourite individual tracks from my collection. So plays randomly like a radio without the DJ chatter????
