I am the first owner. The car has a full service history and has currently covered 54,000 miles. The car is on fixed service intervals and carefully serviced on average every 6000 miles or 6 months by VAG specialists Ardfallen Motorcare in Cork using genuine only VAG parts and quality approved lubricants. The tyres were fitted in August 2010. Performance upgrades Performance upgrades have been kept to a sensible level with a REVO Stage 1 remap. The car produces a reliable and proven 238bhp and 318lbs/ft torque. I have cared for this car meticulously and always get asked what my secret is in keeping it looking so good. The front end has some very slight stone chips but not very noticeable on a silver hence the reason I choose silver over the other RS colours. The car has won numerous shows with five 1st and one 2nd Best in class trophies to prove. Summary A stunning car that has been extremely well looked after. I think the facelift has kind of ruined the lines of the mk2. The front looks so much fussier and the rest is bland. I like my 06 because teh front matches the rest of the car. As I said earlier the combi carries off the facelift better than the hatch.

With the mk6 Golf VW changed most of the body panels except the roof. They even gave it a new dash and interior. Skoda just changed the front panels on the Octavia. The combi carries off the facelift a bit better I think.

As the title says. We are entering 2011 and the mk2 Octavia has been around since 2004. Do you feel its starting to get a bit long in the tooth at this stage? I can't bring myself to ordering a new one for that reason when there is so much fresher metal out there?

I fitted PS3s to mine a couple of weeks ago and all good so far.

Might be looking to change in January. Currently driving an 06 Hatch RS and wondering what are the advantages of the combi over the hatch? AAlso what are the downsides? Residuals?

Seats were a lucky find on UK ebay. I sold my original vRS seats for nearly as much as these cost Full leather is the only job on a vRS compared to the originals. There is little to no looking after required compared to the originals.

Octavia vRS '06 Suffered failure of this yesterday. Sounds as if the cables have snapped. Anyone else have this and if so what is the easiest and cheapest fix? Thanks.
