Got a few strange problems cropped up with my 2010 Mk2 FL Octavia. It started with a dim indicator light showing on the dash all the time, next the heater fan started to run really slow or not work at all. Today I noticed the DRL's are half the brightness they should be. Car starts and drives fine. Obviously looks like an electrical fault to me but anyone got any ideas on the cause ? Many thanks.

My clutch pedal is intermittently sticking to the floor and gears can be hard to select. I'm told it's the slave cylinder thats needed, the one connected to the clutch pedal. My mechanic is having trouble identifying the part number of what's required, all of his parts suppliers seem to come up with a different part. Can anyone help. It appears to be connected by 2 bolts, has 2 pipes going to it and an electric connection. Fingers crossed someone can help ! Car is a 2010 Octavia VRS Facelift, 2.0 CR. Thanks

I drove around 100 miles today with no issues, parked up for 5 minutes and when I restarted the car I have an engine light on. Car runs fine, temperatures are as normal and the 100 mile run home for all ok. It's hard to guess the error so i'd appreciate some help if anyone can assist ? Cheers

Wanted something that looked standard for summer wheels as the Neptune's still had winter tyres on. Bought a new set of Pictoris alloys and tyres. Very pleased with the result. Just need to wash the car now

Seems from reading the above posts that this dealer had a pretty good reputation. It's therefore a real shame they let me down badly when I tried to buy some wheels off them recently. I had arranged for collection of the wheels on a sunday afternoon and received a phone call on Saturday lunchtime saying the sales manager didn't know the wheels were for sale and had used them. Turns out upon investigation this was a lie and they actually sold them to another customer :/ Emailed the branch to complain and waited 2 weeks without a reply and when a reply did come after I phoned them they simply didn't want to know. Not on my list of recommended dealers.

I spotted some wheels/tyres on eBay for sale from this dealer. I rang them up, agreed a price and then organised transport to pick them up, meaning my son lost a days pay. The day before collection I received a phone call saying that "the sales manager had used the wheels on his own car not knowing they were for sale" and I wouldn't be able to have them. This was a lie as I found out what actually happened is that they forgot to remove the item from eBay and someone else bought them. Sadly the owner Oliver Horton doesn't want to know. I thought about taking legal action as a legal verbal contract had been agreed but decided I don't need the hassle. Just a warning though, if this is how they treat customers then it might be better avoiding them.
