  1. OK! Who for the love of god came up with the idea to position the fuel filter in such a ridiculous place? How the hell do you get to it without dropping the tank?
  2. :-( How do I move it ? Today in the Sun
  3. Now to sort:- STRUT TOP MOUNT Engine Mount Gear linkage Alloys Then cosmetic bits when the weather gets better.
  4. Now I can use the truck I will get the Alloys sorted
  5. All jobs sorted for MOT :-) I will replace the sill cover tomorrow and wash the car (pre MOT clean) Booked in for Saturday morning at 10.00 Fingers crossed :-)
  6. Easy ! ;-( Aghhhhhh, Why oh why were they riveted? What a pain to get the are off and on again in a gravel car park with fading light. Done. Now just to put the sill cover back and change all the bulbs the MOT tester didn't like.
  7. Sills are welded :-) Thank you so much Mel. Today she is back in her favorite position 'up in the air'. Now to tackle the ' excessive play in lower suspension ball-joint'. Old ball joint is riveted in place, always handy when they need changing, new ones are supplied to bolt on, so off with the whole arm Aghhhh. Did I swear? YES. Did it come off easy, NO. Remember in a Haynes manual the little spanners showing how difficult a job is ? Well I am not a mechanic, so all those little spanners mean nothing at all. Every job is a big job. Removed, got wet, cold and to be honest a bit fed up, so will carry on after work this week.
  8. Update. Thanks to Hairymel from Retro rides for his help with the welding. Coming on slowly but surely. As always it looked better with the sill covers on :-) After a little rust removal. He has been working hard and O/S is done N/S started. The biggest problem is that the whole N/S rear wing panel is flapping around ;-( But it will be done. I have also brought some spacers for the Alloys :-)
  9. Just dropped truck off for a Retro rides member to perform his magic with his MIG. Fingers crossed
  10. Hi what is the rear section of both sills like? Would you be willing to cut both sides off outer and inner. the rear 15cm . I'm sure you know what I mean, the bit that crumbles away on a felicia :-) Also does it have power steering? if so I am after the metal pipe that runs along the front under the radiator. My mail is [email protected]
  11. :-) nice to know I am not alone.
