  1. Just don't call me a traitor! 16 inch OZ Racing Record's with 205/45/16 Toyo Proxy T1-R's Cheers Chris
  2. Are you talking about the turbo whistly sound? Mines done it from new, and so did the car I test drove. I assumed its normal?
  3. Hmmm, I hate waiting, tempted to get the stuff done now, give Elephant their money, and hope and pray that its not a stupid increase come renewal time. Whatta you lot think? Surely thats a plan with no drawbacks?
  4. Just read that, I mean a quote for how much the alloys / remap will add to next years premium. Thanks!
  5. Hi, I've got a 2005 VRS, just got a quote from Elephant for alloys and a remap. They quoted 200 quid ish, until renewal in January. Annoyingly though, they can't give a quote for next year until renewal time, December. In January I'll have 3 years NCD. This year was 770 quid. Anybody else got mods covered mid policy with Elephant? What happened at renewal time? Cheers for any ideas! Chris
  6. Grrr, gits, its not fair... :( I'll survive...
  7. Yea, thats worth another phone call I suppose!
  8. I think that Elephant just don't like me much, still sortof tempted to go for the strut brace though, you lot think its worth 100 odd quid? To buy and insure I mean.
  9. SteVRs... how much do you pay as standard? Mines about 770 quid, thats at 27 with 2 years discount. Maybe I live in a really bad area, but I know I don't! Sticking my postcode into a mates policy quote dropped it a few hundred quid!
  10. Yea, 65 quid is a bit steep I thought. I think I might wait till my policy's nearly over then ring about a bit. Cheers
  11. Hi, I've just got off the phone with Elephant, after being quoted 65 quid for a strut brace. Next year I was thinking of getting the tractor remapped, mentioned this to them and aparently they'll only cover a 10% remap, any more than that they won't touch. Does anybody know if thats right? Or is it based on my policy? Cheers
  12. Very interesting! I think I'll have to give them another ring then! I'm nearly 27 too. I wonder what group they put it in to quote me 72 quid! Cheers!
  13. Yea, think I'm going to give them another ring at some point. Will speak to dealer about warrenty, although can't see that being a problem, they seemed fairly mod friendly when I talked to them about a remap. Just thought I'd wait a bit, and see what experiences people on here have had, is nobody on here with a strut brace insured through Elephant? Cheers for the help so far!
