Not a Yeti but Morgan have one in Mustard Yellow. They say it is this year's 'in-colour'!

Can't speak for the 'Monte Carlo' model, but I certainly had it on my old 1.2 Tsi SE DSG model and have it again on the face-lift 1.2 Tsi SE DSG model I got last May.

I'm not technically minded at all but found the following on a SINGAPORE Skoda Yeti Blog! It was one of many topics in the same blog [and means nothing to me] so I don't know whether it is of any use to anyone on here, but just in case: TPMS Coding If your Yeti is not fitted with TPMS from factory, don’t fred, you can set it up via VAGCOM if your ABS module supports it. Im not entirely sure which module supports it but i can be sure that mine supports it. Here’s my ABS module part no: 1K0 907 379 AT Component :ESP MK60EC1 H30 0105 Get your VCDS and here you go! Go to ABS module -03, then to coding-07, after which it will show up the long coding helper. Next, go to byte 16, tick bit 2-TPMS installed. Verify if the TPMS is working by going to measuring block, measure block-16– It should show Tire pressure Not Oper. N/A- Measure 230-234, it should show Tire pressure calibrated,monitored,alarm delay, enabled…etc. As long you can get values out of the group, its working. It’s not over yet, you need to set up the TPMS warning to light up on your instrument cluster if Tyre pressure is not normal. Go to Instrument-17, then to coding-07, then go to byte 2, tick bit 0- TPMS installed. Now, its free TPMS for you with 1 limitation. You need to reset it via VCDS if the TPMS warning occurs. How? Go to ABS module-03, Basic setting and put 042 and go, this will reset the TPMS.

My sister-in-law and myself have just purchased Yetis No 2 from Mitchells, dealing with Andy Kelly. The pricing was all done over the telephone without Andy even seeing our old Yetis to work out the trade-in values. All done in good faith by both parties. Even allowing for the cost of boat fares from, and back to, the Isle of Man, Andy's deal could not be bettered with any of the Internet companies I checked out [bought first Yeti via Drive-the-Deal]. Orders were placed and Andy managed to source our requirements almost immediately. He had a silver one coming in [sister-in-law] and located a 'spare' white one of my specification. Ordering to handover for both vehicles took just 6 weeks. Throughout that time Andy kept both of us updated by telephone. Handover of both vehicles went without a hitch and thus far we are both extremely happy with out dealings with this company, and especially Andy. For what looks like a large operation [compared to any garages on the Island, where there is currently no Skoda dealership] the 'little touches' offered by Mitchells made all the difference to our overall experience in upgrading from our Yeti 1 to Yeti 2. Keep up the good work Mitchells [and especially Andy]. I cannot recommend you highly enough

Update for ManxSkoda Mitchells have been on to us and BOTH cars are arriving on the same trailer tomorrow [Friday 2nd May]. Won't be ready for collection until after Wednesday 7th. Then the problems start Roy & Heather can only travel over on Saturday 10th. IOM to Heysham in the morning and then back in the evening from Liverpool. Cost for the day-trip - £300.00. WHAT A RIP OFF BY THE ISLE OF MAN STEAM PACKET COMPANY. I couldn't travel over until Monday 12th at the earliest, due to hospital appointment, and guess what.....No room on the fastcraft on the morning of the 12th due to all the Rally cars returning home. No large ferry sailing at this time due to being in dry-dock for a refit. Then no morning sailing to England on Tuesday 13th as the fastcraft is doing a trip to Belfast. So I am having to travel to Liverpool on the afternoon sailing of the 12th, then overnight stay and pick up car Tuesday 13th. As I need to do some Family History research in Liverpool thought I may as well combine the two jobs and so will not now travel back until Thursday 15th. Daft situation really....I can do this 4 day trip, with three nights in 3 star hotel in Liverpool, for just £29 dearer that Roy and Heather's day-trip! ManxSkoda - Roy may have the last laugh After I had placed my order for a white SE DSG with Mitchells at Cheshire Oaks, Roy & Heather decided they should change theirs too. Heather got the same deal at Mitchells and ordered a silver SE DSG. Mitchells have sourced one for me [built week 16] but told Heather that they had a silver and black one coming in shortly. So it's a case of wait and see which one arrives first. Still mine was the first order So we are going from Grey SE DSG & Black SE DSG to White & Silver! Don't know if white is an easy colour to keep clean but I have gone through the "colour-spectrum" on earlier cars and the white one does look nice in all the photos I have seen

My current Yeti has these screws fitted to the rails to take the genuine Skoda roof bars. I am shortly to take delivery of a new F/L vehicle. Can these screw be removed from the old vehicle and used on the new one [i recall reading they could only be unscrewed twice before the screw thread broke but cannot locate the article now], or are the rail fittings different. If the cannot be removed successfully can anyone tell me the best/cheapest place to buy new ones? I have only come across a set of "4 spares" but the initial roof bar kit supplied a total of 10, which I would still need. Many thanks Manxman

Greetings fellow Manxies Yes it certainly is a bit of a drawback having no Island dealer BUT love the car. Raymotors is a good suggestion, as I would assume the make up of the vehicle is similar to the VW Tiguan. If nothing further appears on here I will give them a shout when the roads are less busy and all our biker friends have returned home. Ramsey is a long way from Peel!!!! For your information I had the first service done at S&S Motors in Castletown [former Skoda dealer] and had no problems However, put it in to Happy Day Motors for the second service last month. I use them for the wife's Clio and had used them previously for my Scenic. They took the chassis number of the Yeti and ordered the parts, which arrived a couple of days later. Seems a good job [as always] and was slightly cheaper than S&S. Cheers Tony

Hi I am suddenly finding small ball-bearings in both the driver and front passenger foot-wells of my 2010 1.2 SE DSG. They appear in 2's or 3's on an irregular basis, but I now have quite a few of them. No idea where they are coming from and would appreciate any suggestions in case it could lead to a bigger problem. If you press the set display button once [quickly] - see "Tab 3" page 16 of manual - it will bring the time up on the maxidot for a few seconds without altering anything

Hi One & All As a Yeti [and first time Skoda] owner I just wanted to use this forum to “sing the praises” of Alex Lawrie Skoda, Liverpool. With no dealer on the Island I was put in touch with this company in order to get the recall work carried out regarding the rear badge scenario and also the Turbo shim / computer update work. They informed me that they would be glad to carry out the work and I was just to give them a week’s notice when I was travelling over from the Island. I duly arranged a visit to Chester for last week and arranged to drive the Yeti up to the garage straight from the Liverpool ferry, prior to travelling down to Chester, on the morning of Monday 27 August. However, I had not factored in to this equation that the Monday was a UK Bank Holiday and the garage was closed. Garry Hughes, the after-sales manager, telephoned me prior to my travelling to the UK and kindly agreed to pick up my vehicle from my hotel at Cheshire Oaks, in order to save me driving it back up to Liverpool..........thus enabling me to accompany my wife and youngest daughter to the Cheshire Oaks shops and keep putting my hand in my wallet!!! The Wednesday morning duly arrived and Garry telephoned me at about 0745 hours to let me know he was on his way. He collected the vehicle around 0800 hours and drove it up to Liverpool. All the necessary work was carried out and the vehicle was returned to me by another member of his staff just after 1100 hours. NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL SERVICE! Here was a garage I had never had any contact with before, BUT because they were a Skoda Dealer went out of their way to give me a customer service experience I won’t forget in a hurry, and which, sadly, is all too rare in this day and age. No wonder they were Skoda Retailer of the year 2011 – and if this is how they treat all their customers they probably will be again this year. I just had to give praise where praise is due. We are always quick to point out when something goes wrong, but forget when things are spot-on. Many thanks one and all at Alex Lawrie Skoda, and a special thanks to Garry Hughes. I hope we may be able to “do a deal” when the time comes for this Skoda to be replaced by a newer model. On a slightly different note was also overjoyed to see how well the 1.2 DSG performed on the motorways etc., and also pleased to see a return of just over 50 mpg to boot. All this with three up and occasionally a full boot and roof bars/bag as well. Manxman

I swapped a Renault Grand Scenic 2.0 litre petrol auto for the 1.2 DSG SE and also wondered how it would compare, but at the time it was the only DSG available. Had it just over a year now and have no complaints whatsoever. The Renault had a rough 4-speed box compared to the Skoda smooooooooth 7 speed box. I live on the Isle of Man and my home to work drive is 11 miles each way. I am currently averaging a good 42 mpg compared to only 28mpg from the Renault! The 1.2 engine is far superior for acceleration / overtaking than the Renault ever was. Because there is no dealer on the Island I bought the Skoda "blind", from Drive-the-Deal and the first time I ever sat in one was when I picked mine up from Marlborough in London. Yes I took a chance..........No I have no regrets..........I look forward to driving my monster at any opportunity I get. You will be pleased if you purchase one..........BUT..........if you do have the opportunity to test drive, find out for yourself and give yourself complete peace of mind. It makes sense as one-man's-dream can be another-man's-nightmare! Good Luck

Hi My May 2011 1.2 Tsi SE DSG is due a first service shortly. As I live on an Island with no official Skoda dealer [former dealer appears to be acting as a "sub-agent" for Alex Lawrie, Liverpool] I contacted Alex Lawrie today to find out what "recalls", if any, were due on my vehicle. Have been informed about the rear badge and turbo shim. At first they informed me that both could be carried out on the Island but now I have had another e-nail from them saying Turbo shim needs a software update as well which can only be carried out at an official dealer with a computer connection to the factory. As I won't be in the UK with the car for some time can anyone tell me: [a] Is the turbo shim a vital update, or can it just be done next time I am able to get to an official dealer How long does the "procedure" take, as obviously I would be "somewhat stranded" in the UK without a vehicle, if it was for any length of time Cheers Manxman

I am amazed at your prices, being on one of the Islands. Here on the Isle of Man we are always told the price is due to the extra shipping costs to bring fuel here. I would have thought this would have applied to the Channel Islands as well, but apparently not! Prices here at present are 145.9p per litre unleaded and 150.9p per litre diesel. That's as well as £149.00 per year tax for the Yeti, due to its emmissions. Wife's 1.5 diesel Renault Clio is only £40.00 per year tax!

I have the DSG model, just under 5,000 miles on the clock, and on a daily round trip of 22 miles to work and back, I have been averaging 45.1mpg on the maxidot, so would assume that is around a good true 42 mpg. Compare this with the 28 mpg I was getting from the Renault Grand Scenic I had and I am well pleased ..........especially when petrol on the Island appears to be around 10p per litre dearer than the UK prices I see on the TV!

Hi All Still enjoying reading this forum each evening and getting great pleasure out my Yeti. I have around 2,500 miles on the clock now. The MPG is very good. Living on a small Island I only travel 22 miles, on a round trip, to work and home, with a few other trips in-between. I am currently averaging around 42 mpg on brim to brim [46+ on maxidot], which is by far way better than the woeful 28 mpg I was previously getting, on the same trip, from my Auto-Scenic. My new little beauty SO impressed the sister-in-law that when an ex-demonstrator was brought to the Island by the former Skoda Dealer, she just had to go and try it out. RESULT - she joined the Yeti club this morning, swapping her BMW. Now owns a lovely Black 1.2.SE DSG [same speck as mine]. A very reasonable buy with only 1,600 miles on the clock, and NO LONG WAIT! So, as far as I am aware, there are now THREE Yetis on the Island. Our two SE's plus an early 4 x 4 which is used by a gentleman working on behalf of Sure Mobile telephone company [Candy White with Sure Mobile logos]. I'm not sure [excuse the pun] of model/spec as I have only seen it a couple of times. Will try and get a picture of our two together sometime shortly.....IF the weather ever picks up over here.
