  1. I have the Columbus Infotainment navigation. I have lots of POI's stored in the memory. You can import POI's from USB-stick or SD-card that contains vCards files. But I want to export POI's from Columbus to USB-stick or SD-card. So I can delete many POI's from the system and import them when I need them. I have found nothing about this in the Owner's Manual. I find this very strange. If you're able to import you should also be able to export. Is there any way this can be done?
  2. I've got some minor scratches on the rear bumper. It's the black bumper. Not colored as the car. It seems that there is paint at the surface of the bumper. In the scratches the paint is gone and there are some grey color. The plastic itself perhaps? I wonder if there are any bumper paint that is the same color as the paint on the bumper?
  3. I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean..
  4. I'm very keen on buying a Karoq. I'm having an old Octavia Mk I and it's time to buy a new car. But I think it's a pity that Skoda didn't put the ambient light on the door trims in the back seat like on Kodiaq. I can't understand such a decision from Skoda not to have it in the back too. What do you think?
  5. Don't laugh at me but.....how do you disconnect this connector?? I have tried to disconnect it but it´s grip don't let it go. I have pushed the red button at both sides but nothing happens. What is the trick? I'm afraid to break something if I use force.
  6. OK..Thanks..but it seems that you have to be a member with an username and password in order to log in.
  7. I found this service document for Ocatavia Mk !! on the net: Is there any equalent for the Octavia Mk I that you can download somewere?
  8. The microswitch in the door lock unit had been worn out. I bought a new lock unit on ebay. I let a wellknown garage (but not Skoda authorized) switch the locks. Now the red LED lamp on the drivers door does't start to flash. When they had the door open they also disconnected the connector to the door control unit to check if the pins were erroded. Can it have something to do with that? Is there a reset to be done maybe? I shall go back to the garage but I thought I could ask the question here to see if anybody recognize this error. Maybe it's so simple that they have forget to reconnect the 2-pin connector to the lamp.
  9. The heating of the mirrors have been working before. And yes, I know the knob shall be in the centre position. I find it hard to believe that the heating elements has been burned out on both sides at the same time..I think there must be another fault. Mayby the switch is faulty in the middle position. I found a couple of posts here that was about problem withh rear door lock and windows. There were water in the connector to the Door Control Unit so the connector got erroded inside. Check this and scroll down for pictures. And also this post. I think my problem is the same.
  10. OK, thank you. So there is no door control unit in the back door that affects the operation of the window and the door lock?
  11. I have some electrical problems in my left doors. The car has driver's seat to the left. I have search the net for ansers and have some ideas but I thought I let have it a go here. This is the faults. 1. Side mirrors heating - no function on left or right side. But you can adjust the mirrors on both sides. 2. Back door left side - the door lock does not function electrically. I have replaced it with a new one so it's not the lock. 3. Back door left side, the window can not be operated by the button on the door. You can oprerate it with the button on the driver's side but the window goes down/up only a few centimeters each time you operate the button. Answers to people with simular faults is suggested that it can be the cable harness in the back door but then the side mirrors heating should not be affected by that? Another answer is the Door Control Unit is faulty in the front left door. It controls the back door as well? So what is the theories by the experts here? What is the most likely cause of my troubles with the faults that I have.
  12. I guess it's behind this plastic on the bumper.
  13. But how is the picture taken then? The grill is gone?
  14. I want to test my door lock electrically. Anyone who knows the scheme, which pins goes to different functions - the microswitch on/off and the lock open/close. Door lock part #6X1837013H.
