Baker21 replied to Baker21's topic in Group Buys
I am still here just not active, glad to see Rob is coming to the rescue -
I will only post on here when something like this crops up and I get mentioned, just out of courtesy. My time owning a Skoda and getting told off for posting in this section has passed

Thanks for the comment ChrisRs. Happy to help out if needed, just drop me a PM on here or contact dooka directly.

decent mobile alloy wheel refurbing northamptonshire, anyone?
Baker21 replied to flat-eric's topic in Styling and Car Care
I would suggest a full stirp and a proper job then and the one I would recommend would be Excel Wheels, they are not the cheapest but the job is first class: http://www.exelwheels.co.uk/ As above if you wanted a full strip and a proper job doing but if you want to keep the costs down then it's worth touching base with Wicked Wheels as they have some guys local to Northampton that can come out and do a good job: http://www.wickedwheels.co.uk/ -

Are you looking to get a full strip, repair and re-coat re-furb or just a front face re-furb? -
Just for reference, even if you had bought the OEM item you would still not be able to close your ashtray

First of all thanks for buying a dooka Woolie Wash Pad and I hope your happy with it? Secondly these trims are not hard coat lacquered so will scratch very easily, some manufacturers are better than others but you will always struggle not to inflict marks I am afraid :( I assume your using the 2BM? -
Sorry for the late reply Sorry for the late reply but as Cown has said, these don't need to be CAN-BUS and I went for 4000K option as I like a lot of light but it all depends on your perception and preference of the light temperatures

I replaced all the interior lighting within the Superb with LED's and just sourced replacements off eBay and other forums, didn't cost a lot

I will more than likely struggle to run a GB on this forum anymore due to various rules I am afraid :( -

Drying Towels and Plush Microfibre's are now also available here: http://www.dooka.co.uk/shop/ -
As stated above, you can source some off eBay but I have never bought one, they seem to come with all the fixings but agree that they don't have the sound deadening :(

Detail and de-badge due tomorrow...
Baker21 replied to zouche's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Get ordering all those bits and pieces now buddy De-Badging can be done easily if you have a heat gun / hair dryer and some dental floss. Once you have heated the area, run the dental floss down behind the badge ensuring it's pulling on the back surface of the badge and not contacting the paintwork and as you move the dental floss down through the back of the badge and adhesive tape pull away from the paintwork to pull the badge off. Follow this up with some AS Tardis or equivalent Tar and Glue Remover and your sorted. Depending on how long the badges have been on and also if you mark the paint during the removal may or may not require the use of a machine polisher afterwards to leave a nice finish -

Mine were original ones from VW, think they cost me around £20 each IIRC?

The VW Tourag torch is indeed compatible and will fit nicely into your Superb, I had tow in mine, one in the front and one in the rear

Removed Rear Badges - Can Still See Outline! Help!
Baker21 replied to DaveyBoyWonder's topic in Styling and Car Care
Your best bet is to find some one local with a machine polisher that can machine these marks out for you as it may require some wet sanding.
