  1. The new advert is now on you tube, sorry folks couldn't sort out a link, bit outta practice.
  2. I too have a Windows phone, LG Optimus E900, cracking phone and i have just read an article that staes that Windows 7.5 phones will be getting updates tothe start screen of Windows 8 after the initial release. "The new Start screen is so useful and emblematic of what Windows Phone is about that we want everybody to enjoy it. So we’ll be delivering it to existing phones as a software update sometime after Window Phone 8 is released. Let me repeat: If you currently own a Windows Phone 7.5 handset, Microsoft is planning to release an update with the new Windows Phone 8 Start screen. We’re calling it “Windows Phone 7.8.” Some of you have been wondering, “Will we also get Windows Phone 8 as an update?” The answer, unfortunately, is no. Windows Phone 8 is a generation shift in technology, which means that it will not run on existing hardware. BUT we care deeply about our existing customers and want to keep their phones fresh, so we’re providing the new Start screen in this new update." This is taken from Announcing Windows Phone 8 by Joe Belfiore
  3. Hmm isn't buying a used SAAB just buying a Vauxhall in a different coat and a used Volvo just buying a Ford in a different coat ?
  4. Robbin b'strds, why not sell slightly cheaper and try to stimulate the whole housing market.
  5. hmmm did mine the same way a few years ago , had it back in 10 days. I am sure it will arrive in time. But you should always remember that passports should be renewed 6 months ahead of expiry date as advised by passportoffice according to SWMBO.
  6. Well personally i enjoyed it all, the opening ceremony the actual games and the closing ceremony, found the event as a whole to be well organised, (in the main) and immensly entertaining. I do feel a bit sorry for the paraolympians who will now compete in a much reduced (and hyped) event with far lower level opening and closing ceremonies. Is it not about time that the two events were combined as one whole event ( far more politically correct) giving the paraolympians as much coverage and Kudos as the olympians . This would also showcase just how much the paraolympians have achieved. And i do not mean the paraolympians competeing with the able bodied olympians, but to include their events alongside the usual events, i know this would extend the length of the games but it would be worth it to open up the paraolympians to a far wider audience.
  7. Yup but look at the ones in the background to give you a far better idea of size
  8. De Walt are now just high power Black n Decker's aren't they ?
  9. I think he is absolutely brilliant. but there again i dont live in London
  10. Have you tried iplayer, i watched the whole thing on there.
  11. I agree with the initial post, awe inspiring, amazing , audacious and breath taking. It was a whole new take on the Olympic ceremony, it cannot be compared directly with any previous ceremonies as it was so completely different . Congratulations to every single person involved an excellent job. Actually makes me PROUD TO BE BRITISH
  12. Well as on "old git" who despises most rap as Being "carp" i actually enjoyed it, decent vid, decent lyrics all in all pretty good and catchy.
  13. Darlington, County Durham, semi rural, good schools, direct rail line to Londinium, right next o A1 runs onto M1. Near Durham & Tees Valley Airport, within 45 mins of Newcastle Airport and within 1 hour of Ferries to Europe. Living costs and property prices are far lower than daaaan sarf and the people here smile
  14. I thought that these ruddy things had faded into bad memory as a complete and utter waste of feckin money and time. The government want's to get of its fat backside and rescind these stupid little rules that were brought in by utter feckin moron's previously.
  15. Buy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good motor all round
  16. I bought a 42" Panasonic Viera smart 3D Tv in the comet sale in march, it was end of line as they were bringing out a sleeker version for an extra £200 , it does excellent 2D visuals and also has 3D but you can have the 3D switched on or off, got 2 pairs of 3d glasses with the tv and a 5 year warranty thrown in as well. Brilliant TV (especially for what i paid LOL) and the 3D is a cool gimick which i have watched a few times. The smart TV and the quality of 2d picture are the main reasons why this is such a fantastic tv.
