  1. Hi all - my mothers 2010 (60) 1.2 TSI SE has an issue with the HVAC system (it’s the digital climate control), where the panel all lights up as normal, but the fans aren’t blowing at all - even turning them right up. Any ideas what this could be please? Assuming it can’t be a fuse if it’s lighting up ok? thanks in advance.
  2. Cheers @ApertureS, I’m going to see it tomorrow so I’ll get some snaps. Ive got some old Trance CD’s that have unique mixes on that you just can’t find on the likes of Spotify etc, so would be nice to have them in the car. I think the history documents all of the above being carried out, so that’s a good sign.
  3. Hi all - long time since I’ve been on this forum, but had 3 Skodas in the past! I’m thinking of buying a 2016 SE-L 190 TDi DSG with just over 100k on the clock, with full history as a second workhorse car, and had a couple of Q’s. 1) I know it has ACC, but does it also have Lane Assist? If not, then can this be coded? 2) Does it have a CD player? I can’t remember when Skoda (and everyone else!) stopped fitting them! 3) Anything I should be aware of common fault wise / things to look out for? Any help greatly appreciated! Cheers.
  4. @e-Roottootthanks for this. I’d assume she’s well out of time to put in a claim with Skoda now though?
  5. Hi all, My mum has a 2011 1.2 TSI DSG, which is still going strong after 60k miles, but the boot lid is starting to rust quite badly from where the number plate lights are housed. Anyone else had this problem / cost of fix and what was needed? I am considering just buying a tailgate from a car that’s been broken for parts - if anyone who has one or know someone who does (Cappuccino Beige), please give me a shout. Thanks in advance.
  6. I had a DTUK CRD3 on my L&K 150 TDI - it worked fine for a while but then was getting limp mode and various boost pressure sensor fault codes. If you want more power then definitely go for a remap. The whole “tuning boxes are warranty safe / undetectable” that all tuning box companies tend to state isn’t true either, it quite obvious that one has been fitted & dealers can easily find it out.
  7. yeah agree, was more from a product quality / longevity point of view vs. Other upgrades I meant.

  9. Best bulbs for dipped beam are PIAA Xtreme White Plus, but you’ll pay for the privilege at around £65-£70 for a pair. I ran them in a Fabia vRS a few years back and found them an enormous improvement on standard halogens - much brighter white light, and both were still working when I sold the car nearly 2 years after fitting.
  10. @JR RS badge overload!!! Love the Superb puddle lights though!
  11. Sorry, but I really don’t like the badge on the back. Don’t see why anyone would want to add badges to their car. My O3 L&K was completely de-badged, and only had the Skoda emblem on the front and back, and my current car - stupid M badges removed from the side and the model, so just the BMW badges. Each to their own of course!
  12. If you’re on a personal lease (PCH), then you must keep the car until the end of the agreed lease, otherwise you have to pay penalties / early termination fees (usually a percentage of the amount of payments owed, or all of it depending on the lease company).
  13. I used a DTUK CRD3 box, albeit on the 150ps Diesel. It worked well for about a year, but then started to throw up errors & put the car into limp mode. When I plugged it into the diagnostics it threw up a boost pressure sensor error. I got rid of the car and therefore the box not long after that as it was the end of its lease. Some people seem to run them with absolutely no issues at all though, and the team at DTUK are really friendly & helpful.
  14. Not quite true - the washers and self levelling are only actually required if the light output exceeds a certain Lumen. (Which is most cars equipped with Xenon). There are certain cars that only use a 25W Xenon system, which wouldn’t actually require either. I believe they still use self levelling systems, but don’t have washers.
