  1. Have one fitted to my 1.3 Felicia, and makes a noticeable difference to the engine. My knowledge of the device is that it creates turbulence in the intake manifold thus assisting the fuel/air mixing and provides a cleaner and more efficient burn.
  2. Hi, Been given first refusal on a set of HP suspension units by a friend, but checking part numbers they are for the 1.6 Felicia. I drive a 1998 1.3 MPi Hatchback, can I safely fit the suspension to my vehicle. Does anybody have any experience of these shock/springs, pleased with them? Cheers
  3. Hi, I'm very pleased with my Felicia that's been lowered & running 15 inchs wheels. Shocks are standard replacement KYB but gas, and the springs are Ventura which give a 35mm drop & are progressive. I fitted the springs and shocks before I got my alloys so can confidently give a report for what was essentially a standard setup. I drive hard, with high cornering speeds and was very happy with the above suspension setup before alloys. To give you and idea I reckon I could safely negotiate a corner with an extra 10mph to my usual cornerning speed (pre suspension upgrade). With the alloys and with the lower profile and increase in lateral tyre grip I can add a further 5-8 mph to that. My sister has a totally standard Felicia and at the weekend she drove mine. She couldn't wipe the grin off her face and was amazed what a significant difference it made, and she rides a Ducati for her kicks!
  4. Don't see point of selling car as don't reckon u can beat Felicia on the overall package esp. with the mods I've made. Gas flowing is a very successful modification especially when used with uprated injectors and a reprofiled cam. Hence my interest, as are all subtle modifcations, yet producing a tuned, powerful and reliable engine with cheap parts and no labour as I do the work myself.
  5. Thought about supercharger but don't like idea of development costs! Anybody had experience of gas flowing the head? Leave it looking stock is my cup of tea!
  6. I'm running 195/45 R15's, Rockford Alloy Wheels sent them to me with 28psi in each. Got the pump out yesterday & now got 32psi in all four. Couldn't really throw her about yesterday when I went for a drive - But reckon pretty good.
  7. Evening all, done the following to my Felicia 1.3 Mpi, and am after any ideas of further mods. Prefer mods that give performance rather than looks, and generally into the idea of creating a Felicia VRS theme. Suspension - KYB Gas shocks & Ventura springs (-35mm) Exhaust - Full one-off stainless steel single exit exhaust Engine - Ecotek valve, engine breather filter, Pipercross panel filter in modified & drilled airbox Wheels - 195/45 Uniroyal Rain tyre on 15" Team Dynamics Tornado rim Brakes - Front, Black Diamond grooved discs with Predator pads.
  8. I had similar symptons on my 1.3 Mpi, turned out to be the throttle air mass sensor. Expensive to replace, so hopefully not!
  9. Tried to convince me that my non-standard air filter was the cause of engine stuttering and loss of power. Wouldn't believe me that it was the air mass meter at fault (known problem) and refused to replace it. After having the car for a week they finally decided that they couldn't work out what was wrong and humoured me by changing the meter, ET VOILA, it worked, - cowboys
  10. Not sure but hoping this will help those with the notorious water leak! After having had 2 yrs of soaked sound deadening material I fixed the problem last summer. Having read about the heater unit being the possible cause I removed the bung/flap and cleaned out the material that had accumulated around it - this seemed to have no affect. The dashboard was removed and all the insulation and sound deadening material removed (1st to dry, 2nd to expose all of the interior metalwork). With a friend showering the windscreen with water I noticed two leaks coming through under the windscreen. At each lower corner (If I can recall) there is a lap joint seam where Skoda weld the body together), water was coming through and running down this seam, then collecting on the lower metal protusion that acts to create a pool of water. Answer was to get marine sealant and run a bead alone the lower edge of the windscreen then literally plaster that seam and build up any areas where water could future pool. After a wet winter the car has been bone dry! Result but granted quite a lot of work stripping out the dash. Gareth
  11. Hi everyone, my question is this! Could you happily fit the rear brake cylinders from the Felicia 1.6/1.9D to a 1.3? I'm not impressed with the braking performance of my 1.3 Felicia. Driven over 65,000 miles with the original rear shoes, which are still like new with very little wear. This suggests to me that they are doing bugger all work, people agree? :( The larger engined Felicias use 20.6mm and 22mm rear cylinders, I presume to cope with the extra vehicle weight, especially, the pick-up. Could you safely retrofit them to the 1.3 and which size? As the Felicia is fitted with a system to prevent rear wheel lock up, I presume this would allow the fitment of a more powerful rear braking system and maintain its safety. Anybody else done this? What do people think and would this be the way forward? Gareth
  12. Skoda Felicia 1.3 owner with Greenstuff induction air filter, custom built stainless steel exhaust and an ecotek valve.
