  1. I have this problem too (with my 2007 Octavia Mk II Stream Mp3). I've replaced the battery (last week) - as the car had been standing a few weeks due to ill health. The radio comes on of it's own accord, without the key inserted. My wife has had this happen to her on several occasions and is scared of driving the car in case she comes back to a flattened battery. Any ideas? The fuse (F19, I believe) is correctly seated..... Thanks in advance! Adrian
  2. Same problem here - I've found that if you stop a warm engine and restart, the warning light will go off and not return. (I've had the car two months and now have just over 6k on the clock) Top up first? With what? (water and antifreeze - like the good old days - or "Skoda approved coolant"?)
  3. I have this dreaded problem too - and this will be the second sensor failure in about 18 months. Can the ECU be programmed to ignore the error and if so, is it advisable to do that?? Thanks Adrian
  4. Can anyone share how to get at the box? I've taken the two "star" screws out (not with a screwdriver as per the manual) - now my knees are sore, stress levels are high and I can't get the panel away. All I want to do is see if the blower fuse has gone because that's stopped..... Sighs... 2007 - maybe it's time to get that Yeti we've been ogling since they came out.... Thanks Adrian
  5. http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4.php?emulate=seatcover&query=5806&vptype=368409&brand=Walser&prodid=20305 Googling for some car seat covers for my new (to me) 07 Octavia Estate - I came across the above. Has anyone heard of them (or better still bought from them)? What are people's opinions? I would rather buy something decent that will do the job from the start. Thanks in advance Adrian
  6. Hi everyone - just bought my first Skoda - after much research - and boy am I impressed or what! Have an '07 Octavia 1.9TDi Elgance Estate with 34k on the clock (1K was me in the first two weeks..) It is so similar to the VW Golf I had as a lease car (which i did have loads of problems with - I think it was Friday afternoon car). But touch wood nothing has gone wrong so far - despite driving from the Midlands up to Aberdeen in one day (isn't crusie control a boon?!) Now looking for ways to protect the inside and the outside - car seat covers, diamond bright - maybe... that sort of thing. Any ideas?? Adrian
