  1. Say what!?! Nice! Didn't see that coming. Thanks for the info!
  2. So it's a no go for me... Address 09: Cent. Elect. (J519) Labels: 1K0-937-08x-09.clb Part No SW: 1K0 937 087 AE HW: 1K0 937 087 AE Component: BCM PQ35 H+ 111 0709 Should have seen it that I have to do this (license plate leds) hard way.
  3. Not so familiar with these, so have to ask... How to tell which BCM revision I have? Will VCDS Auto-Scan reveal this and which Part No I should look into: SW, HW, Component or Revision?
  4. Okay, figured it out. My first codings were way over what needed... What I did was went back to orginal code and started it all over again: BYTE 0, ticked BIT 5 and 7 and saved, cleared fault code and boom. There it was! After fast testing, CH/LH works just fine. And what is the best, it looks that they work just like it should; when RLS have enough light xenons don't go on and when it doesn't get the light they go on.
  5. When I changed the switch, I tried to look that every pin were plugged. But after reading your post, I decided to give it more specific look. So I took switch out, took the wire loom apart and checked that all the pins were connected - especially pin #2, and there it is as I looked up before. And as you said, if I take a look to the back of the old switch there's no pin 2. So maybe I have to check the other end of wire from the control box?
  6. Yet another desperate retrofitter... So, story so far is: I have MY2008 Octavia RS Estate with RLS installed, but no auto/tunnel switch. I managed to get my hands on switch from MY2011 witch comes with both front and back fogs and states AUTO (1ZO 941 431J 3KX). Out with the old and new in - checked that all pins appeared to be wired and also 'the magical purple wire' were there. Set switch to AUTO and started car. First notice was that dashboard lights was on, witch they didn't with old switch. Also checked that every position worked out fine. Have to say by the way, RLS is doing great job controlling those dashboard lights - works like a charm! But now, I have been messing around little bit with coding and cannot manage to get CH/LH working. Starts to feel that I have read every single forum and post about this with no luck. So right now I would appreciate very much if anyone could give me the right steps to follow. Before I have to admit my defeat and go to local dealer - witch is the last thing on earth right now what I want. Could the newer light switch be the problem here? Or is the coding totally wrong? Or both? Feel free to PM or post here for more info if required (coding etc.). Thanks, Vellu
  7. Did Auto-scan yesterday and found few fault codes. One of them was similar to this post so decided to post here. Story so far is that car is orginally equipped with Stream radio with AUX. Only modification made by me is that I have retrofitted VW's iPod adapter to it. After installing iPod adapter radio have been working just fine - and of course the iPod adapter works also without problems. Here's the full data from fault code: Thursday,05,July,2012,23:06:32:42848 VCDS Version: Release 11.11.3 (x64) Data version: 20120401 Address 56: Radio Labels: 1K0-035-1xx-56.lbl Control Module Part Number: 1Z0 035 161 C HW: 1Z0 035 161 C Component and/or Version: Radio FO3 019 0040 Software Coding: 0000400 Work Shop Code: WSC 73430 790 00000 VCID: 2E59067DB90C649 1 Fault Found: 01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded 000 - - I have checked Ross-Tech site for fault code information and have a little hunch about this. Could it be that the installed iPod adapter must be coded somewhere/somehow? Or is it possible? Sorry if this is stupid question, but I'm just learning the magical world of VCDS!
  8. My 2007 Octy had just black sleeve around cigarette lighter, and somehow I got an idea to change it to illuminated one. So went to local Skoda dealer and ordered sleeve with light (Part number 1E0 919 341 á 8,50 €). All I had to do was remove the old sleeve and put new on. The light gets its power from the ligher socket, so no need to new wiring. Although now the light is always on...
  9. I also checked antennas status from this menu - btw it was off so I changed the whole antenna and radio works now for me. More interesting/nice-to-thing is what those other items are in "the hidden menu"? So all items are 'ANT', 'Q', 'MP', 'NK', 'RDS', 'SS', 'HC', 'RF', 'PI' and "changing volume bar". Check pictures from links below... Pic #1 Pic #2 Tried to figure these out... So 'ANT' shows if the antenna is ok or not, 'Q' stands for 'quality' (stereo, mono, poor), 'RDS' show quality of RDS-reception and"changing volume bar" might indicate signal strenght etc.?:wonder: Any ideas of these, anyone?
