  1. When you are in Black Forrest you're not that far away from Nürburgring [emoji4][emoji6]
  2. Good to hear that your wife is OK! Sorry about the Yeti...
  3. I'll hope for the best then, hoping that the odds for two cars in a row with engine failure are high
  4. These are from LightFORCE and are all plastic so no glass or metall at least...
  5. Yes, it is a 1.4L with supercharger and turbo. If it is better remains to be seen Yes, it is a R line. I really like that design. I live in Sweden so british laws are not valid. I would have fought harder if the Yeti was privately owned by me but it was owned by my company. Private consumers have much better protection... Finally, I just wantet to get rid of the car...
  6. I finally gave up on my Yeti. It's too bad as I really liked the Yeti and would definitely have bought a Yeti II if I hadn't had all the problems with the first one. A bit over a week ago I traded it in for a new Tiguan. I hope I have better luck with this one
  7. Llanigraham is right. It is a folded metal sheet placed behind the number plate. This is the om I use: http://www.mekonomen.se/bil/tillbehor/el-i-bilen/extraljus/extraljus-faste-svart-pa8876sv The lights do not weigh very much so they do not need further support.
  8. Well, it's done... my Yeti got a new engine this week. All went well and after paying the deductible I will try not to think to much about it. Have not gotten any help from Skoda but had to use my insurance. The total lack of support/goodwill from Skoda makes this my last Skoda...
  9. I'm incredably sorry for wasting your time and your clicks...
  10. In this road bike freestyle video with Vittorio Brumotti he arrives in a really cool orange Yeti
  11. I have the same problem with my Yeti 160 TSI! Unfortunately I did the same mistake and kept filling up oil for some time instead of doing a complete checkup but it is easy to be wise in hindsight... As my car is over four years old and has about 50000 miles on the odometer I have no warranty left. I did not have it a year ago either but at least the excess would have been lower... I get no help whatsoever from Skoda so I have to use my insurance. The replacement is calculated at a bit over £ 7200.00 and my excess as the car is registered on my small company is 40 percent as the car has rolled over 43500 miles... I really think it sucks that an engine that has not been tuned, has been driven normally and serviced according to plan at a Skoda workshop gives up so soon and if it isn't something that happens often it is very cheap by Skoda not to help. I will not by a Skoda again and I will tell the story to everyone that listens so Skoda will only get badwill out of this. Had they helped they would have received loads of goodwill instead!
  12. Yes, you're right. I did not just get water in the box... but most of it ended up there. The carpet was wet also and at first I thought it was from my dog as it all happened in very rainy weather (duh!). Anyways Skoda fixed it and replacet the tools and the 12V pump as it was all drenched.
  13. I had the same problem with my Yeti. It is an early Yeti with sunroof and the drainage went to two rubber seals close to the hinges of the rear hatch. This led to problems for some owners. This has been changed since the early Yetis and now the drainage is led down to the rear wheels. My Yeti was updated after my very big problems. One day when I opened the rear hatch water war dripping from the safety belt in the roof!
  14. Oh, I loved my Mk1 4X4! It was just mapped ta around 210 hp but 10+ years ago not that many cars were tunes so it kicked ass against most cars it met. Most important it kicked VRS ass I even raced it on a track day and placed well as it was a little wet.
  15. I'm not sure what you mean with "sidelights". In the picture I have the hazard warning lights on...
  16. OK, two more then. These are from last winter when there was a really cool halo around the moon! I'm not sure which version I prefer so I post both Sony NEX-5R with 16mm prime and a fisheye adapter.
  17. The interior picture with me in it was taken with a Nikon D40X that I tested. The lens was mine, a Nikon 10.5 mm fisheye lens.
  18. And this is me in my Yeti Please let me know if you think I post to many pictures!
  19. I think you are absolutely right in your actions. I don't know what the law says where you live but in Sweden every dog owner has a strict responsibility for what his dog does! You can't talk your way out of it. The problem is of course if there aren't any witnesses but in your case it should be easy to show to the police that your dog was damaged by the other dog but the other dog is fine. Personally I wouldn't hesitate reporting an incidence like this to the police!
  20. This picture is mostly to show haw the Yeti looks with auxiliary lights, something we in Scandinavia likes during the very dark winter
