Hi all, On my fabia vrs one cable is longer than the other, I thought one stretched so I got two more (left cable, and right cable) and one is still longer. Why is this? I can't tighten it so the handbrake is fully on at 3 clicks because the shorter side is constantly on when I tighten it so the left hand side is tight enough. Any ideas? I have a skoda fabia vrs 2004 plate that has just failed it's MOT because the passenger rear wheel was still spinning once the handbrake was on. I went to get a caliper as I though this was the problem but when my mate who's a mechanic went to fit it he said he's sure it is the handbrake cable is seized. Just fitted the handbrake cables and the connector for the cables in the car is still wonky and it seems one side is a lot longer than the other, when I tighten it up so the handbrake is more effective one of the calipers sticks on. I don't know what's going on, any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, Went through a small flood this week which in turn has taken out my power steering. I've taken the three plugs off the power steering bottle and put the air hose on them to get any of the water out and checked both the battery fuse and the fuse in the car itself. And it still doesn't work, the fault code it is reading is "No communication from the power steering control unit". Any ideas anyone? It's nearly MOT time too :( Chris Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Cheers, it has to be 60mm no one is selling a 60mm - 57mm reducer. Nor 57mm hoses -

PD injectors - talk to me
RallyDavisvRS replied to Jonny5ive's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Yes I would get the changed immediately mate!! I've witnessed a worst case scenario of a dodgy injector on a landrover freelander, It was fuelling too much and was heating up the piston to a ridiculous temperature, this in turn started to melt the piston and valves. This ****ed the engine and costed an absolute bomb to fix! Would you risk it for a chocolate biscuit lol? -
You got a part number for the pd150 normal turbo? cant seem to find one anywhere, Nice sorry to sound think but what's the billet wheel?
-
This is an interesting topic cause I want to do the same !! Is it worth getting a standard pd150 then getting it sent away and converted to a hybrid or just buy the hybrid outright? Is it cheaper? I swear I've headed people on here getting like 260bhp from their fabias? Is this possible with fmic, pd150 hybrid? What do I need to get it there, cams and injectors too? Ta Chris

Hi mate, I have had a slight knock myself actually haha new bumper passengers wing and bonnet required and various bits under the engine. Anyway I got my wing new from eBay for about £43 here's the item code 171045882212. Here's my rebuild if your interested http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/285769-post-crash-rebuild/ Thanks, Davis

Ha crazy so do I

Yeah quite possibly! They are hard ******s. Ah mr devontopia, been meaning to ask you a question about your vRS, what bhp is it running? Cause I've been looking at hybrids with FMIC and some people have managed 260ish bhp from a PD150 hybrid. Is this possible from your experience?
