My other toy is an 18 year old Supra. It's an ongoing project. I've just fitted a T61 turbo to it, just need to solve the fuel pump issues and thats it done

How to repair ESP/ABS fault with VAG repair kit
Vrspaul replied to Hauptmann's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Got my unit back from BBA reman (exceptional service) fitted it that night and then followed the bleed order in the first post and after a short drive down the road and switching the ignition off and then back on after a short while all the lights went off and the traction is working again. Big thanks the the original poster and to BBA re-man, the fix cost me a total of 3-4 hours of my own labour and £146.40. Really happy. -

I'm tackling this myself and have just removed the ABS Unit ready for BBA Reman to repair for me. Just thought I'd add a few points that may help others thinking about it. To release the electrical connector pull up on the plastic part arrowed below. It sits on 3 rubber bungs which can be prised out if you prefer to leave the mounting bracket in place How mine looked ready for removal How mine looks with the unit removed -

Hi guys, Ive got this fault on my 56plate vrs diesel now. I'm thinking of tackling it myself as it doesn't seem to difficult. I have seen this kit on ebay from sinspeed, has anyone used these or any reports on there service and quality of there products. http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_1452wt_1413 Thanks -
Just to help anyone else that may end up in this situation I can confirm the rocker cover is now knackered. The dealer is ordering one up and it should get fitted on Wednesday morning.

Thanks for the replies guy's, I thought so but just wanted to sure before I go back tomorrow. Does this mean the whole rocker cover is knackered now then?

Hi all, I had my injectors replaced last week by the main dealer under a recall and today I decided to go for a run to 'try them out' but my car went into limp mode after a few miles on the duel carriageway. I drove back home and tuned the car off and when I restarted it the warning message had gone so i drove around the block to find the turbo not coming on boost until about 3000+ rpm and it totally flat below that. I took the engine covers off to find a small pipe that i'm assuming should go into the back of the rocker cover had come off. I started the car and could feel the vacum so blocked it off and drove around the block and it was running fine. On further inspection with a mirror and a light I could see a small pipe had snapped off where the dangling pipe should obviously be. My question is just a 'checking so I can't be fobbed off' question, I assume the rocker cover has to be removed to replace the injectors? in which case it was defiantly the so called mechanic the threw it back together. Heres a couple of pics

I'm in the middle of a detail on my Vrs and thought the rear spoiler was held on with the torqex screws you can see either side of the tailgate, i've removed these and it's still pretty much stuck on. I'm guessing it's bonded/glued on as well? If it is how well stuck on are they, I've searched and have found that the Fabia's are and not worth removing as it could damage the paint as there stuck that well. Thanks for any help

Ah great, thanks for the reply mate. That explains a few things I wasn't sure about.
-
No as I don't no how to check them. I done the rpm thing from post 2 and thats gone from 00 to 900-1000 rpm on tick over

Got a number of local 'ish' guy today and called him up. He was around my area today so called in. He checked it put some dye in it and oil (for some reason i forgot to ask what this was for) drained and sucked the air and moisture out and re-filled and checked around etc for £80 All seems to be fine now, just hope it stays like that
-
Ah great that works now but that means I have no rpm it just stays at 00!! Is there anyways to get the error codes up on the climatronic?
-
Mines the same, I could do with knowing what these codes mean as well

I have just been back in the car and the led screens now say OE5 on the passenger side and 02h on the drivers side and if i turn the passenger temp control it just flick back to i0 and won't do anything else. The centre fan control does nothing if I turn it. Anyone got any ideas?
