  2. I thinking of selling my fabia vrs 05 (7k niles) for a 52 golf gti pd150 anniversary edition (37k miles). As i'm thinking of keeping one of the cars long term i was wondering which will keep its value and is the golf a better car?. the only pros i think are that the golf has a more spacious cabin, perhaps better handling and more stable. your thoughts please!

Yes it looks like that, it must be going around dealers, but does anyone agree with my point that its ok for skoda to fit modified rear lights, but if you did fit rears lights or modded the suspension, remap and so on, they would not hesitate in kicking up a stink and try to get out of any warranty work. I mean i remember reading about a dealer saying a remap caused a seat to creak and go loose on it s runners due to the hard excelleration, well come on thats crazy!
  4. i saw a 'rallied up' fabia vrs at a dealers today with a skoda motorsport paint job and different rear lights, if i was to do this myself surly skoda would turn round and say "different rear lights + paint sir, that a modification and now you warranty is void!" By trying to sell a car in this way its surely promting the modding/rally potentials of the car and many buyers would think of making changes to their own car, but after reading many posts on the forum, skoda are dead against any sort of mod and are deklaring the warranty null and void at any chance they can. double standards!
  5. I though i'd post somthing i've notided with my fabia's speedo, is only accurate up to 70mph in comparison with my sat nav. I noticed this on the motor way and tried different speeds with cruise control on and it only matched the sat nav at speed up to 70 on the speedo. I'm not really sure what is correct! speedo = sat nav 70mph = 70mph 80mph = 74-6mph 110mph = 100mph
  6. i've started to get a bad vibration after oneclicking my fabia vrs, its terrible between 2000 rpm to 2300rpm, i dont know if its clutch slip wheelspin or what when you r excellerating out of a 30mph in 4th gear progressively put the power down and you gett this massive judder just over 2000rpm. i think this is where the peak torque is. but the strange thing is the revs are not rising sharply so it does not feel like clutch slip, but you if you where to drop to third and floor it you wont get it, i'm a little unsure what it is, but it looks to be clutch related. just wondering if any one else has experienced this

When driving along a twisty a road today i noticed a 5 series behind thought no more of it, then it over took me and i noticed an awesome engine note and at the rear i was very suprised to see the M5 badge. The 5 litre v10 purring away sounded like a low pitched f1 car, from which i think the engine is a road going version of the bmw f1 v10 engine. I dont think it was even worth trying to take him on in the vrs, Running about 500bhp with four huge exhuasts!! A truly awesome car!
  10. I dont see any problem with overtime as long as you get paid for it, i would never do it for nothing!!, i work well over my 37.5 hrs a week but as long as its paid and you want to do it i don't see a problem. But for nothing you can forget it!!
  11. Can you specify heated seats with the leather? as the leather can be retro fitted after purchase could the heated option be fitted alongside the leather install?
  12. Mine have been doing it this winter in the lower corners of the lamp, surely once there is some heat generated by the lamp/engine it will be cleared, but is the light a sealed unit or is there a vent?
  13. I adjusted mine manually without vag com and they have adjusted to higher position, night driving was awfull before, aprox 1.5 turn on each lamp
