  1. I had the exact same problem on my 1.4 TSI. Turns out that the turbo did not longer work. I got the turbo replaced under the warranty
  2. Then just do as posted and get the coding done by vagcom/vcds. Mine works as follows: Daylight: fog lights on rearlights off. Nighttime: front and rear lights on Rain: front and rear lights on Tunnel driving: front and rear lights on Highway (over 120 km/h)front and rear lights on Coming home and leaving home active when dark or raining Works perfectly
  3. It can be done and it is quite easy. But your dealer can not do it as you need vagcom First order a ligth switch with auto function. Part number:1Z0 941 431 J REH Install it And then enable it in vagcom All in all a 10 min operation. I have done it in my 2010 FL Important that you must hava rainsensor og auto dimming rear view mirror to make it work
  4. I have it done on my 2010 octy estate. Have had the springs on now for 3 months and no problems yet. Hatch opens everytime by remote. It is a tiny bit harder to close since the springs needs to be compressed while closing, but that is a very small draw back for this awesome feature. And heres a little video of the "party trick"
  5. I think that its REALLY strange that it works perfect on mine and not on yours??? I will post some pictures later for the non believers :0)
  6. Just tried again with a stopwatch. Kept pushing the the setup for 10 secs. And then came the menu
  7. Actually it is VERY easy to find the firmware version... Just enter the SECRET MENU on the Bolero... Push the setup button and keep pushing it First you will get to a menu with a fm and a am button. DONT let go of the setup button. Then you will enter THE SECRET MENU, where the first menu item is: version info. There you can see SW version and HW version :0) Btw: my info on the bolero is: HW index: 009 SW index: 0053 SW version: 08.11 / 0801 Bootloader version: 01.02
  8. And please give an update (maybe video) of how the boot opens with medium springs. I think that the red heavy duty ones are a little too fast.
  9. Super Job Pagey, finally got them off :p It´s SO nice when it is finally done, and I really think it is a super good, and super cheap mod for the Octy! Att.: Raglits It has been done on a Hatch in Denmark, with the same springs (nearly) but I am not sure if the springs actually fit the hatch?
  10. Hi Gregoir Check out this topic about the automatic Hatch.... http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/164486-automatic-boot/ Quite a simple mod, and it will give you an answer on how to use remote opening in a good way
  11. It helps if you get a friend to hold one of the wrenches so you can turn counter. It doesnt sit that thight. Remember to tighten the pieces togheter after you have apllied the spring
  12. He he, i'm from denmark, so I dont know the english tool terms But I used 2 pipe wrenches (the picture is borrowed from a friend
  13. I hope this can help you a bit. It comes off quite easy with the correct tools.... p.s do as Gizmo says: Wrap the piston in an an old rag and clamp it in a vice, then wrap another rag around the end fixing and use some mole grips on it - they then come off a treat!.
  14. Have also thought on that... But that would also happen if you open it "manually"
