  1. I forgot to ask, what are peoples long term opinion of the 1.2 TSI DSG?
  2. I'm about to take delivery of my second Roomster, my current PCP deal is ending soon and last week when taking the new Octavia for a test drive I started discussing numbers with the Skoda dealer in Leeds. They offered my a decent price against the Octavia but it was still out of my reach, I said that what I'd Really want is a Scout 1.2 DSG, they checked the computer which said yes! It turned out they had one for their stock available, it just needed shipping over from Germany so it would turn up in less than three weeks. Added the option of an arm rest and parking sensors and deal done. Three weeks wait is a slight improvement on the four months it took 3 years ago...
  3. Cheers for that, time to order some flaps.
  4. I think dark colours suit best, mine is in Storm Blue and has silver roof rails and I think it works very well. I've seen it in Amazonian Green and also in Black, both of which I was impressed by, but the Mrs put her foot down and vetoed both.
  5. I've noticed that the rear of the car gets badly splattered from the rear tyres, has anyone noticed much difference after fitting mud flaps? Are they particularly tricky to fix? On my old Zafira I had to remove the wheels first which was a pain.
  6. Turns out that at the moment it's only a factory fit, can't be done at the dealers. This is only for '10 reg cars and newer, so I'm assuming it's because of the new engines. Oh well...
  7. I'm enjoying hugely my new Roomster but I wish I had ordered it with cruise control, I've asked the dealer if it can be retro-fitted an he says it can and will get back to me with a price. Anyone here either got CC or had it fitted after purchase and do you think it's worth while?
  8. The engine is reasonably quiet (about the same as my old 1.9 CDTI Zafira), plenty of high end power ( overtaking on the motorway going from 65-70 to 85-90 is effortless ) and it'll cruise between 70 and 80 with no problem. The only issue is 1st gear seems pretty long so my habit of pulling away from the lights in 2nd needs to change. Overall, it's better to drive than my old Zafira.
  9. Well, I picked up my new Roomster yesterday and there isn't much to say apart from it's exactly what I hoped it would be. Very, very happy. :)
  10. Now got a delivery date of the 10th September. Beginning to regret not getting cruise, but I was happy enough to pass on it when ordering, so shouldn't grumble now. Is it good form to post pics when i get it? *edit* looks like the dealer jumped too soon, new getting it on the 15th.
  11. Now been told that my Roomster will be built w/c 23/8 and will be with me 21 - 28 days later (as little as 10 days if very, very lucky), still don't know if it'll have a '10 or '60 plate. One of the longest 12 weeks of my life, but I just have to keep telling myself I made the right decision.
  12. I stand corrected, it is Storm Blue, the choice came down to the Scout in Pacific Blue or the SE, but the panoramic sun roof swung it for the SE. I still think Skoda are daft for not making the Scout as the top spec but more of a parrallel to the SE. Aparently the Skoda factory shuts down for three weeks in July, hence the extra month or so.
  13. Nether, the centre seat will rarely be used, and I went 3 years in my Zafira with the spare in a can, never used, so I'm confident that it'll be enough. I did go for the front arm rest though.
  14. I was told today that that colour is not available to order, I'd check again tomorrow if I were you.
