    I was in the same position as you - just needed bars for the odd ladder, some timber and the canoe - I got these https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/product-reviews/xtremeauto-maypole-universal-roof-bar-review-skoda-octavia-estate-amazon They are on my estate now - a little noisy over 50 but I only have them on occasionally.
