  1. I was in the same position as you - just needed bars for the odd ladder, some timber and the canoe - I got these https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/product-reviews/xtremeauto-maypole-universal-roof-bar-review-skoda-octavia-estate-amazon They are on my estate now - a little noisy over 50 but I only have them on occasionally.
  2. Links for all the workshop manuals on here guys https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/skoda/skoda-octavia-mk-iii-2013-workshop-service-maintenance-repair-manuals-downloads-inc-vrs-free Enjoy
  3. Yep - that's what I use. That's my website and the VAG DPF screen shots are for my car. I'll have to think long and hard as my DPF becomes more and more full. There is the option to have it gutted and mapped out but thats illegal. I'd pay for the better dongle and the pro software. Works out less than £20
  4. My 184 is the same. Can feel a bit different after a regen. I use the VAG DPF app to monitor it - more on that here https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/dpf-diesel-particulate-filter/vag-dpf-review-andriod-vag-dpf-monitor-app Also check our this page about the Mk3 VRS DPF https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/dpf-diesel-particulate-filter/skoda-octavia-iii-2013-diesel-particulate-filter-dpf-owners-manual-regeneration-faq
  5. Hi All I've been updating my VRS buyers guide and I'm looking for further updates / items which need adding. To be fair, the Mk3 is pretty robust but more issues are appearing now. Check out the article and let me know if you think there is something worth adding or I'm chatting utter bo**ocks about someging https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/buyers-guide/skoda-octavia-vrs-petrol-and-diesel-mk3-fl-buyers-guide Cheers Karl
  6. Some more info on GPFs https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/emissions/the-gasoline-particulate-filter-faq No new engine is safe from all these emissions technologies. Just hoping the DPF in my 184 lasts a little longer
  7. Just wanted to drag my results back after a couple of years. I reported mine when it was 17% at 28k miles. Connected it today and is showing 29% at 56k. I do the miles (just) and enough long runs to keep it in check. I do have a the fan running quite often but it seems that I’m quite lucky with the oil ash figures. Anyone had thier DPF replaced yet?
  8. Thanks Mate - can you PM them over for me. Been writing on the go so I'm sure it's got a fair few in there that gramarly didn't pick up
  9. Hey All Those of you who frequent the Skoda facebook groups might have seen my link to the MK3 buyers guide I've put together. I hope you find it useful and please do let me know what you think and if I've missed anything or I'm talking ****. Skoda Octavia MK3 VRS Buyers Guide Enjoy. Cheers Karl
  10. Here is mine in my 184 - If you're local you're more than welcome to pop over any give it a try to 60 I recon the DTUK would just pip a standard TSI
  11. High 6 maybe low 7 with a load of spin
  12. Very temped to swap out my 15' DSG 184 Estate for a new 245 with Virtual Cockpit, 19" extremes and sunroof (Meteor grey) I'm in no rush, do you think waiting off until after xmas would make for some nice deals?
  13. You might be right there! https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/skoda/leaked-internal-skoda-document-shows-octavia-vrs-my19-changes-dpf-opf
  14. I feel you. I paid £21.5k for my VRS @ 4 months old. 3 years later I'll have said goodbye to at least 10k. The sad truth about car ownership
  15. I had some issues with mine - even with the blanking plug connected. Got in touch with DTUK and they swapped out the unit. Been fine since. Running a +2 always caused issues for me. Back on 2+1 and it runs like a dream - no surging and pulls like a train. Time for a 0-150MPH video on a nice open private road.
  16. The offer still stands about the DTUK box. I'd actually like to get a video of them in a little 0-100 run to see how much difference it makes real world. Also interested to see the springs when you have them on.
  17. My 2015 184 will be replaced soon by the new 245 when you can actually order one. This will be my last diesel - the DPF / EGR time bomb just isn't worth it. I also miss the noise of petrol turbos,
  18. here is mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PryGLKjSB18&t=175s Pretty affordable and has been rock solid. Hardwired so no need for messy cables.
  19. Its been good. On my second unit but thats the price to pay for your warranty. Overall its a nice unit.
  20. Snake oil and nothing more. I see lots of one man bands advertising it as a DPF unclogger but they basically force a full DPF regen with a laptop.
  21. Nice! I've got the same car but a Combi - in Lincs too (Stamford) if you wanted to try out a DTUK box before you bite the bullet
  22. This might be of some help to you https://www.hypermiler.co.uk/dpf-diesel-particulate-filter/skoda-octavia-iii-2013-diesel-particulate-filter-dpf-owners-manual-regeneration-faq
