Hi Folks, my vrs tdi was serviced yesterday afternoon, oil, fuel filter , air filter etc, at 80K km its always run fine, it just feels a bit slow especially under 4K RPM where usually there is a lot of torque, feels like there's a restrictor on the accelerator pedal and it hesitates in first gear, it also sounds a bit louder as if the air box is faulty, there was an extra 15KM on it which seems more than a test run after servicing also which worries me! it will be going back tomorrow but has anyone ever had this experience and how to argue it out with the garage if I still feel its not right?

the new VW Golf GTD has this sound generator "The test car we tried also came with a sound actuator that will be available as an option this year. It uses sensors in the exhaust and a speaker in the bulkhead to amplify engine noise in the cabin but it adds a strangely synthetic petrol warble that seems bizarre on a TDI-powered car Read more: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/volkswagen/golf/64271/new-volkswagen-golf-gtd#ixzz2VTW30X70 -
New Octavia test drive reports
zippysmithy replied to Dr Zoidberg's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Had a drive this afternoon in a 1.6 diesel elegance, impressed with the fit and quality of the interior, boot had a much softer damping than the mkII and its enormous, bolero touchscreen is very smart with nice graphics for the heating etc, but its still so noisy and boomy coming from the rear as with the mkII, was hoping this wouldbe sorted but alas not, the dealer reckoned it was the green tyres but its just down to skoda scrimping on sound insulation I guess, i know its only a small niggle but have gone thru a few tyre choice on my own to try and minimise this and before you say just turn the radio up , that didnt help -
Hi Folks, just saw this on Autoexpress, will it really look like this, what do we think? http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/octavia/61901/skoda-octavia-vrs-leaked-pictures

did't like the issue with the bonnet release either, ordered some trim parts for a yeti off SS, needed glue to affix to the yeti and this was never mentioned on their website

Hello All, Have Skoda ever sorted this sawtooth wear problem?] my new fl octavia vrs has just started this awful droning noise from 20-60kph, its only done 10k miles and the inside of the rear tyres are pretty much bald! any ideas on a tyre that would try and resist this would be appreciated!
