I have a two month old 1.2 110 tsi Dsg Hatch 1800 miles .Best mpg 44.5 on Holiday fully loaded . Worst 32.01 average 37.71 .The mpg on this compared to my 90 tsi Manuel estate not so good at the moment best 52.68 worst 30.69 average 41.71 over 10500 miles both cars always have climate control on and using bp super unleaded . My Usage is mainly very short journeys in traffic though out the day . My reason for switching to Dsg was for Heath reasons (bad left leg) . I love the car and how it drives ,so I'm hoping this improves or I will just have to put comfort above mpg .

Hi Norsko thanks for the reply .I used CarPlay all the while on my old Fabia Sel and assumed that any data sent to the phone from Smartgate would be mirrored over .So yes I was trying to do both at the same time . mfa pro 3, Skoda performance Skoda and gmeter work on phone fine drive but the icons doesnt show on on car screen. But it sounds like I got it all wrong

I picked up my new Race blue Fabia Dsg on Wednesday i'm Really enjoying the Dsg apart from that it's the same as my other Fabias nice cars good solid and dependable.When I ordered this one I decided to take risk and order smartlink as I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to phones and latest gadgets on cars. So I have a iPhone and have used CarPlay on my Fabia estate so with this car having smartgate I downloaded all the apps I could find.The only performance or car info related that show on CarPlay screen are Skoda performance and Skoda one app. None of the others show at all .Press skoda performance it gives you a choice CarPlay or phone press CarPlay it just takes you back to CarPlay screen :( press phone and it works fine but not on car display .Skoda one app mirrors fine . Does anybody else have smartgate ,CarPlay and have you managed to get them to mirror over? Thanks in advance for any help .

Picked up this beauty today love the Race blue color .Ive got to get used to the Dsg but so far so good .Economy wasn't brilliant showing 42 on the maxidot for a 50 mile trip but it's not done a 100 mile yet so hopefully that will improve as she frees up a bit .Fitted all the extras ,Wind deflectors ,sill guards boot sill cover , mud flaps .Just the dash cams to do now . All in all a good day.

Thanks Estate man I'm really looking forward to collecting it tomorrow I haven't had a 110ps since my mk1 Octavia Tdi so it should be fun.

Picking up my Fabia Dsg Tomorrow my left leg has been looking forward to this for 10 weeks. My first automatic so I'm really looking forward to driving it I won't get much sleep tonight .Once home I've got a host of extras to fit to it .

At last the car is built and on route to Emden probably get it about 3rd week in May .

I think the change of such a major component is a little bit more than an upgrade .I have just been speaking to Skoda customer services and I have been told that my car is a 1.2Tsi .The 1.0Tsi is being fitted from build week 22 i.e. The 2018 model year.This clarified my position and hopefully anybody else who has a build week,and wanting a 1.2Tsi .

My sister had a 1.0tsi dsg Octavia courtesy car,and was very pleased with it i dare say I would be too but surely a company can't change a major component like an engine on built to order car without telling the customer ?

Hi Ken I used track my Skoda which is run by Rainworth,Bickerton Skoda I think it only works with their orders.This will be my fifth 1.2Tsi ,and I've not had a problem with the first four .I wanted a built car to beat the tax increase and couldn't get one so I asked would it come with 1.0Tsi no i would have to wait longer, so placed the order for this one .If it comes though with a 1.0Tsi it is not the car I ordered as far as i'm concerned .My first mk3 was ordered and I waited four months to get it and it came with all the mirror link issues. I tried to change the order midway through but was told the car already confirmed build week so I could not put it back to get one with SmartLink. This was from Skoda customer services,So if they change the order I'm not going to be very pleased,but that's just me .:)

Well this is my order being built this week still showing as 1.2Tsi so that's what I want he says hopefully

Wait until the abs kicks in trying brake the car I was going round the Norwich bypass in the outside lane over taking when a car moved over a bit so the radar assist kicked in thinking I was too near but at least it worked My sister was in her Octavia last Monday night when a badger ran out in front obviously a large animal but not big enough to trigger radar assist ( could have been the angle it came from though).Alas the badger is no more and her Octavia needs bumper ,headlight, fog light ,grill radar assist was left hanging by the wires .

Rick W I did 600 plus miles in my present Fabia in a weekend and a really heavy traffic week at work . That caused my knee to flare up again so the decision was made to swap . Just hoped to get a ready built car but that didn't happen so ordered the Race blue one . I reckon I could have the car by mid May just in time for summer

Thanks Estateman it will be interesting to find out what my economy will be like ,but i'm willing to trade off some that for the comfort factor or reduction in pain if needed. I am really looking forward to getting the car ,might even read the handbook on the dsg .:)

When I placed the order initial build week was 21 now down to 17 I may get the car 2nd week in May if I'm lucky.

Thanks Alltorque I used drive my Citigo like I stole it so it should be fun then with an extra 35 ps then . I intend to keep this one for 3 years so I ordered in Race blue my favourite colour on a Fabia.

After 39 years of driving and 20 of these have been Skoda's I am buying my first automatic.I change cars fairly frequently and will have had my present Sel estate 15 months by the time my new car comes.Ive ordered a SEL 110 ps dsg Hatch in Race blue apart from a spare wheel it is a standard car. Build week 21 now down week 19 .Hoping it might move forward again. I test drove 65 plate se and was very impressed with how smooth the car changed gear,and the economy seemed fairly good and on a par with my car 43 mpg average.Most of my driving is mostly short journeys in heavy traffic and having a bad knee this becoming a rear pain hence the change. Do you dsg owners think I will be able to get the same sort of economy with the dsg ? as I intend to keep this one for 3 years which will be a miracle if I can. Ps I have set of Thule edge wingbars for sale in the parts forum .These are really quiet but will not fit the Hatch if anybody is interested .

Nice photos and great color choice.Ive got the same car on order apart from the sunset glass .Build week 19 at the minute just hoping my crappy knee can last that long.
