All credit to our skoda dealer in Carlisle, they arranged for the protective film to be fitted (for free) at another dealers down the road as they were not used to doing it themselves.

look out for a blue yeti in Yorkshire tomorrow, going for the weekend - it is our monsters first real trip out. Then the following Thursday we are heading down to West Sussex for a week and back to the Cumbrian wilds via Somerset - that should see ours well and truly 'run in'!

cheers for the advice

can someone tell me if Halfords 5W/40 fully synthetic oil suitable for top up in a yeti petrol 1.2?? Thanks for any info.

The ebay version fits perfectly, for anyone who needs a cheap alternative (£6.99)
-
Thanks, I have bookmarked it in case I am not happy with the ebay version - don't want to spoil the looks of my SM!
-
Thanks to you both, probably go with the ebay version.

Can I ask where you got your short aerial, as mine is to tall to fit comfortably through the garage door, I have left it unscrewed at the moment and keep it in the boot for long journeys, and to be perfectly honest the reception doesn't seem affected by the lack of aerial.

Saltmarsh 1.2 TSI S - ordered 20th April, delivered 22nd July Pacific Blue, spare wheel, mud flaps, mats, rear passenger doors protective foil North Cumbria
-
Thursday is the big day for us when we pick our 1.2 S Monster, Pacific Blue, but following this thread I rang our dealer last week about these protective foils. We live in a very rural area and the roads were really broken up and pot-holed last winter, hence our decision to move up from a Fabia. He was very helpful, quoted £34 for obtaining the foils which I thought was reasonable if it was going to protect the paintwork, and they will fit them with the mud flaps and floor mats which we had also wanted and were included in the deal, as was the spare wheel and boot adjustment. Getting excited just like Lee67!

The first idea that springs to mind is 'avalanche' of yetis, pity they are not delivered at this rate!!
