thats right it is the air con in a storage area, there should also be a little wheel thing in the glove box for the air con as well

sounds like theres some junk/dirt in the carb blocking it when the engine is idleing I had that on a Scooby i had a few years ago We just took the carbn off and blasted the junk out with an airjet

strange dont have a problem with my Discovery (had it for 4 years before a new job required me to get a smaller car, reason for a smaller car? to it will fit in the car park, the disco was too tall to fit) in fact still gotthe disco, great fun to drive, great visablity, not as fast or as nippy as the Furby but for road presents just being THERE, its great oh its also been lifted by 2 inchs, has heavy duty side sills, winch bumper, snorkle, reinforced rear bumper and is read for off road use, but is equally happy at 70mph on the motorway

whilst the GPS is more accurate than the speedo, what is the refresh time for the GPS my hand held Ipaq GPS shows the speed as it was 2 seconds ago not as it is now whilst the laptop GPS shows half second ago Denis has it right, set the cruise control to say 70 and see what the gps tells you over a length of time I have found that on my Discovery the speedo is out by 4mph + (i.e, speedo will show 70 whilst gps shows 66) when I get my Fabia I will do the same test on that and see what the difference is
