  1. Merry Christmas everyone from Houston Texas, unfortunately a Yeti free zone, I have not even spotted a Skoda badge whilst here.
  2. I think the problem with the Yeti is the size and location of the auxiliary lights which seems to confuse other drivers. The only other car with a similar type of front profile, in respect of lights is the Nissan Juke. In fact as I typed the last sentence I was still wondering if the large circular lamps are in fact headlamps or auxiliary lamps.
  3. Just returned from two weeks holiday in Turkey and was most surprised to see one in the small town of Kalkan, a greenline at that. Anyone on here?
  4. Glad to hear that you got the 170 at last and not too long a wait. I am sure you will enjoy it.
  5. Some nice kit there, look forward to seeing the results. Hope you have a safe journey.
  6. A great part of the country and plenty of opportunity for some photos so don't forget to post.
  7. Thanks for your comments guys, hopefully now all sorted, fingers crossed. All went pear shaped once I added the email link which allowed all the interworld pond life to find their entertainment at my expense. In fairness to Auto Trader they have been very good so not lost all my faith in the system just yet.
  8. It's my SM, some #### head has hacked into my account. Currently I am in the process of sorting it out. I can't believe the hassle I have had advertising this, obviously some small minded, low life is getting some gratification from messing people about.
  9. Yeti hot spot up here in the Dales, can't fail to spot one.
  10. Is it the bit from near the door mirror? Just taken my shoes off so can't go and check at the moment.
  11. I would have been happy to have given you a lift if I had known as I am not too far away from Pudsey. I hope everything turns out okay.
  12. If you can't get your wife to change her mind you could always plumb for the mid-range Dacia 'Dishcloth' or top of the range 'Ovenpad' when released next year. Do you really want to drive around in something named after the contents of the cupboard under the sink? :-)
  13. What make of kitchen appliances does your wife have, Neff or Candy. If she's happy with poor quality and un-reliable go with the Duster. Its all in the name :-)
  14. £199 including vat at Simpson's of Colne in July, similar sort of mileage.
  15. 10-4 rubber duck someone showing their age there. I've done CB in the long distant past, but now much more grown up with call sign G7TOG. "keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down and watch out for the smokey with the kodak" Amazing how it all comes back to you :-)
  16. Welcome aboard, nice to have another SM lurking in the forests. Still debating a trip into Dalby this weekend?
  17. Did anyone see the Bentley on stage for Top Gear? I wouldn't have minded the opportunity to photograph that. Plus love the Stratos. Talking of TG I saw something recently with JC out in a Yeti, can't for the life of me remember what programme it was? It was only a quick glimpse.
  18. The entry list of only 31 WRC entries put me off this year and I've been spectating on a regular basis since the mid-seventies, so it was unusual for me not to have attended. A great car for the stages I have really enjoyed my experiences with the Yeti on previous events, although the seats are not the most comfortable for sleeping over night which is what I normally do.
  19. Can't be RallyGB as its not raining. I was in two minds about travelling down this year but now saving myself for a trip to Dalby Forest in a few weeks time. Nice to see the SM in its natural habitat.

    Pick Up

Anyone fancy one of these? http://twitpic.com/show/large/aq0ska
  21. I agree with James, the system normally keeps a record of all fault codes until reset using one of the diagnostic tools.
  22. You could try making or obtaining some sort of bracket with a central post and holes for mounting either side. Drill out the broken off post and glue to the central post of the bracket and when dry mount using self tapping scews. I seem to remember having bought some inexpensive window locks in the past which have a central post with a screw thead, i was thinking of something like that idea? Alternatively mount some sort of peg on the underside of the parcel shelf to fit in the hole left by the broken off post, if you get my drift?
  23. Out of the many who I feel could do the job and there are a few on here, my vote would be TP. Not that he should feel pressurised into volunteering, it should be his decision, if he feels he has the time to carry out these duties. As the saying goes "one volunteer is better than .........."
  24. I feel sure this has been debated in great detail on this forum before and seem to remember pictures were posted showing a breakaway cable anchor point that clamped to the rear cross member. It should have been fitted as part of the installation.
  25. Calendar received with thanks. Great job well done.
