  1. Well I decided that it is not going to work out leasing the car myself and the company have now offered me a car with a budget of £28k, happy days. Thanks for all the advice.
  2. Thanks for the info guys. I've gone back to them and requested that they supply the car. Should be a lot easier.
  3. Wow sorry sorry, 130k in three years, heavy night last night. Roughly 40 - 45k/ year
  4. Hi Guy I'm after some advice if possible. I currently have a company car which is all sorted by the firm I work for and fuel is paid with a fuel card plus my private fuel is covered, however I have been offered another job but the owner wants me to lease my own car. This is totally new to me and don't really understand how it works. I'm looking at a new VRS worth around £28k and will be doing around 130k/year mileage. Does the company put extra in my wage to cover the lease? What about fuel, tyres and insurance? And where is a good place to get a quote on line? Sorry for the noob questions, I've always just had company cars and never had to look into this. Thanks
  5. Thanks for all the replies. All considered, I think I will go for the high beam assist instead. It's just a shame you can't configure it to lock as you walk away.
  6. I think I will leave it, It worked great on the Mazda but sounds like a bit of a faff on the Skoda
  7. Thanks for the response guys, really appreciate it. The Mazda system is good because you hear it beep and lock when you walk away. As a rep ive always got stuff in my hands especially when I'm staying in hotels. So I get out of the car in a tight parking space, grab my shirts and bags and then ive got to wipe my hand over the handle, I just don't see the saving in hassle. I just wanted to check that this is how it works. Thanks
  8. Hi guys I will be ordering a new vrs in the next couple of weeks as a company car, I cant decide to order Kessy or not. It slightly puts me over budget which means I might need to change the spec, I just wanted some advise on how it works? I recently test drove a Mazda 6 sport which has their version of keyless entry and when you walk away from the car, it locks. I watched a Youtube vid about the Skoda Kessy and it showed that you need to wipe your hand across the door handle to lock it, can it be configured like the Mazda? Thanks Gwyn
  9. I've got 3 kids across the back of my vrs FL. 15 month old in proper car seat, 5 year old in a hard booster seat and 7 year old in the middle in a bubble bum blow up booster seat. The bubble bum is great because it doesn't take up as much room as the hard seats, but can only be used for kids older the six I think, it actually goes by hight and weight I think so check before using.
  10. Thanks for that, just what I wanted to hear.
  11. Thanks for all the help, do you guys find the Elegance seats comfortable then?
  12. I had the new shape mondeo Ghia, so not sport seats
  13. I think all in all I will be going for the standard set up with 18" for the look. As I'm going from a VRS what are the seats like? Am I right that it comes with leather as standard in the UK? I know they are not sporty but have they got enough side support? I had a Mondeo with standard seats before the VRS and the seats were horrible!!!
  14. I will have to see if my dealer has one with this option.
