  1. That's the sensible option - pity Chathams in Edinburgh don't seem to see it that way.
  2. What I am having difficulty understanding is why you have to wait until the paintwork has actually been damaged before you can have that repaired and the film fitted under warranty. So you have to go in, get the car photographed, wait for approval, then go back for a resprat and fitting. Why not act before there is any damage....?

    Yeti-like

Agree that the early CRV is much more of a match than the HRV - and the SM is a far bette rride than the HRV too. HRV was a great car, did 60k plus miles in mine but it was noisy and underpowered in low revs. Certainly stood out from the crowd in it
  4. I'm afraid to say that my first experience of driving a 1.2 FWD in snow has been very disappointing - no grip, no traction - no use! The road to the house that my old Honda HRV and my wife's Focus mastered with ease last winter defeated the Yeti on Sunday morning and that was before the really deep snow reached Edinburgh. I know that winter tyres might make all the difference but should you need to upgrade the tyres just to cope with 2cms of snow. And boy oh boy does the heater take a LONG time to get working on a cold day!
  5. On the S spec at least the fuel cover doesn't lock with the central locking but the screw on cap for the filler is key-lockable.
  6. Thought it would look best in red - & I was right! Makes it stand out more than ever
  7. One of my favourite places. SM didn't arrive for this year's trip north but looking forward to next year already.....

    Yeti S

evilkisses - I picked up mine last Friday after waiting since 7th May. Like you I just wanted the car, wasn't too fussed about waiting another few weeks just to get the new plate on Sept 1st. Result? Fantastic! Had a good run out at the weekend, no loose nuts or niggles at all (apart from working out how to turn off the daytime running lights). Just a loose stone the size of my fist which got kicked up on the A1 and bounced straight at the windscreen - then bounced off again without leaving a mark. Enjoy your Monster!
  9. I guess it's all down to the options you want as add ons. Glad I didn't go for the sun roof - it's not that sunny in Edinburgh 10 months of the year

    IT'S HERE!

At last! Ordered 7th May. Built week of 19 July. Picked it up today. Red 1.2 Tsi S. SM registration. Watch out this weekend because here we come!
  11. I'll bear that in mind!
  12. Great to see some pictures of the SM in red - no offence to anyone who has picked another colour but I'm mighty glad I went for red. The battered black Honda will need to do for now......
  13. Sounds like I've got a bit of a wait still, ordered my 1.2 TSI S at beginning of May and was told late July for delivery. 16 weeks from then pushes it on a bit tho'
  14. Bad luck! Glad no-one hurt. At least with a repair you've got a courtesy car for a couple of weeks at worst, beter than joining the queue for a new one!
  15. Still waiting....latest news is probably end July. Can't wait to boot it down the A702 to Silverburn too!
