'Octavia 1.6 TDI CR 105cv' vs. '110cv GL'
Darkside replied to torakaru's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Ok cool. Did not know that. Hope to order my 1.6 105 ps soon -
Perhaps the "upgrade" is just in Holland (sometimes i forget i am not on a dutch forum ) But here it is no standard on elegance version (top spec) Otherwise its a €40,- option.

On MY 2015 Mitsumi isn't needed anymore. You can connnect your appel stuf directly on to the USB.

I currently use an external hdd wich stores about 80 - 90Gb of music. In my O2. The usb is (where is should be) In the glove box. The position in the O3 is badly chosen. I am on the verge to ordering an O3 and I have asked my dealer to place an USB cable from the front to the glove box. So you only see a small part of the cable. And the phone box can be used for what it was intended. The placement of my phone.

'Octavia 1.6 TDI CR 105cv' vs. '110cv GL'

Are they? Thought it was quite different. Thought the old 105ps was also heavier. I just finished a test drive with the 105ps 5-speed manual version. And I was suprised. As mentioned cruising on the highway keeps the revs at a respectable level. And it responds better than the Greenline. Especially in second gear. The only problem is that both engines aren't as refined as PSA's diesel in the new 308. But think I will opt for a canton sound system -

@1600cr great to know. My 1.2 with dsg does about the same. So I would be happy if the 1.6 in this case. Was worried it would be over 3000rpm @torakaru. 5months is what we are facing in Holland. Not sure that's the case in the UK. You should check it with your dealer -

In Holland the Greenline has 14% tax and the old 1.6(105ps) has 20% So the Greenline is very attractive to lease. But. It is only 14% in 2014. From January first you will pay 20% I am currently considering both cars. But because of a 5 month delivery time the Greenline will probably be to late to profit from the 14% tax rate. I think I would therefore go for the older engine. I can choose nicer and more options on that model. The only thing I am worried about is the 5 speed gearbox. So I have planned a test drive tomorrow. If that goes well I will go for an 105 ps version in top spec (elegance business line in Holland ) -
Mine only work when it's dark enough. IE in daylight they do not work. I think this is usefull because i can see the car and my house. When it's dark enough CH and LH work fine

Compatibility of HTC Wildfire with Superb II
Darkside replied to Badger49's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
No there is no tool (yet) that allows an Android device to work with rSAP if it is not already supported from te manufactuerer. There are other options, but they are pricey. Skoda (VW) now have a new type of BT carkit. It is compatible with rSAP and HFP. And will work with the wildfire. Or you can try to get your hands on a kufactec or moBridge device. -
Better to have the skoda. In the end you only get slightly more for an VW. But initially you pay much more
-
O well. at least you have something to configure. In holland there is still no car configurator.

I agree. The octavia has a bigger boot than its rivals (Focus, Golf, Astra, Megane, etc) And even bigger than some cars a class higher (Mondeo, Insignia, Avensis). Total size with the seats folded down it looses. But overal it is bigger. Also leg room is much better than the Golf, Astra, Focus, etc. I am 1m91 and I can comfortably sit "behind myself" in an Octavia. I can not say the same for the Astra (old an new), Golf and Focus. Furthermore the new C5 is smaller than the old one. The old one was huge. The new one more a lifestyle estate.

Reversing mirror in '10 1.4TSI Ambient
Darkside replied to knfevg's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Should be different from country to country. But i thought the following: 1) Only on Elegance and above 2) Only with rain & light sensor (standard on Elegance and above) 3) Standard on all models) 4) Adjustable if you have maxidot. Otherwise dealer or someone with VAGcom 5) Adjustable if you have maxidot. Otherwise dealer or someone with VAGcom And the passengers mirror only dips down if you have electrical seats.
