  1. Bought a new octavia from them and sorry but they were as bad as any other dealer. The o% finance which I had signed up for when purchasing they couldnt print off on day I went to pick up, ended with a 4% Deal instead. Didnt phone me on numerous occasions that they promised to about delivery. Hadnt fitted chrome exhaust as asked as the part was damaged but theyd phone me when it came in, eight months later still no phone call. Great Skoda shame about the Dealer
  2. Welcome from another Herts Briskodian:)
  3. I have used Progress Letchworth to service my Fabia VRS and look forward to my visits there. Great service, friendly staff make you feel at home and that your business is important to them. Am looking at changing to an Octavia Elegance DSG and found them to be amongst the best prices around and with their service its definitly going to be bought and looked after by them. Really nice to see that they really do keep drivers happy. Free valet every time and discount card to keep the prices down. Recommended
  4. Thats the problem John, whilst they list it on their web site they deny it exists on the Fabia VRS but their Customer Services do not have access to anything like their web site and therefore do the Cant help you we aint got access. Then try well you must have changed the policy. By this time you realise you are being ripped off and if you tell them you dont want their policy its" if thats the case then there is a cancellation fee". Cancel what you didnt agree to and dont want they are going to try and fleece you. What they dont realise is I aint going away and will keep pursuing them till I get satisfaction and do the best to ensure they dont scam others
  5. Confused.com who I used to get the quote agree that what was quoted is what you should get unless there has been a change, which there has not. They are investigating why Yes car Insurance have tried this ploy. I did check and apparently they are not related to what used to be Yes Car though tactics seem about the same.:rubchin:
  6. Thanks all, will let you know how it progresses, just wanted to warn fellow Briskodians
  7. Thats right, they quoted one price,I accepted and I pay by installments. Last month they took the first payment then wrote to me with the new premium and what the new monthly payment is. To me that is definitly a con
  8. Last month I got a quote for insurance on Confused.com. The cheapest was Yes insurance.co.uk Since taking out the policy they have written to me telling me that the cost is now much higher than what was quoted. Reason, they didnt recognise that Skoda VRS had a standard factory immobiliser fitted , funny as they list it on their quote form. I asked about cancelling and was told that for the one month and cancelling charges will cost me another
  9. Hats off to Skoda for giving you the new engine. A lot would just battle on leaving you to fume over the lump of S--- they had sold you. Id be a Happy Bunny!!
  10. Got mine last year and it came with them fitted as standard.
  11. Might be worth while jacking it up and seeing if there is any play on the wheels that you were told about. I have a fabia VRS with the Eibach suspension fitted (group buy)dampers and springs and work in Luton, so if you wantto compare let me know and well see if we can arange a meet
  12. a quick trip to B & Q for foam draught strip. A piece along the edge makes it a snug fit with no c**p getting into the engine
  13. Being the owner of a Fabia VRS I looked at the owners club site and couldnt really see any advantages to being a member. It didnt seem to cover any of the new models whereas Briskoda gave more advantages and its only a Forum. Just couldnt see the point of paying to join something that isnt really a owners club more of a vintage owners club. Sorry to say but it seemed to be out of date and out of touch and a relic of the 20th Century:thumbdwn:
  14. Its the Celtic festival of Hogmany which pre dates Christmas .
  15. The 2 bar relates to the pressure of the water from the water mains. This varies in different places and your supplier should be able to tell you what they supply at but to be sure you will need a plumber to check it.
