194cm here and highly recommend. Love it, love it, love it. Best option you can get!

I was exactly like you. I had ordered the Amethyst Purple and at the final hurdle swapped out to the Storm Blue. Was it a good move? ABSOLUTELY. The best if the decisions I have made in relation to the car. If the colour is anything similar to the colour being deleted, grab it!! However if it looks like the roomster and a sky blue then stick with your first choice. Of course this is only my subjective view.

Superb Combi Engine 2.0 or 1.8TSI?
spaz74 replied to woodfull's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
The beauty of the 3 spoke steering wheel for me is not the paddle shift function but the comfort from the thicker hand grip and thumb holds on the wheel. The 4 spoke just felt too thin. -
The biggest obstacle to people picking Skodas

+1 especially those with company leases as they generally don't plan 6 months ahead of their lease finishing, more like 6 weeks. -
Good point about glass roof. Wonder when they'll develop glass roof air bag curtains?

Superb Combi Engine 2.0 or 1.8TSI?
spaz74 replied to woodfull's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I like you found it difficult to justify the difference based on kms traveled. I went for the 1.8TSI and get 8.8 litres per 100kms. I knew I was going to be doing more city driving and for me, cabin noise was of a very high priority. In stop start conditions I prefer the TSI, feels less sluggish at lower revs. But it is all personal opinion though. -
Light inside is awesome with the ivory leather. Would I now want one without the panoramic roof?.... No! Makes the car look and feel very classy, practical and very very functional.

Add the false floor and you almost have a flat load space Problem solved

After 10 straight years of sunshine (and worst drought ever) the last year of rain has been very welcome
-
Bugger! We get a tad bit of sun here in Australia so good to know. So guys just to cut off your thought processes, no you can't have any of ours, we er er need it
-
Ivory lifts the class and space of the interior whilst making it feel lighter. The ivory carpets are average but with just a little care professional cleaning only needs to be twice a year. We got good quality ivory rubber mats and they are brilliant. Darker floors lift the interior seats to be the centre piece of the interior. This works well with some of the colours but not all.

Rain X or Glaco for Side Mirror and Sun Roof
spaz74 replied to SuperbRennie's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I prefer Glaco over Rainx. It lasts longer and does a much better job of beading at lower speeds in my opinion. -
I have noticed that as well. In its car category it is actually low yet COTY. So someone must be playing funny buggers.

You'll love the panoramic roof, it is awesome!!!!

Bend down and look from underneath the handle there is a small rectangular opening, the size of the key width, place the key in there and pop the cover off exposing the key lock.
