Used Nigel Lang a good few years back. Seemed very thorough.

Just think scrote is a harsh call. May have told a white lie, but unlikely to be speeding and stopped and told the owner. Its an innocent mistake that he will likely learn from, but people seem to demand perfection at all times these days.

UK car sales see first drop for six years
simonsheil replied to grajay's topic in General Automotive Chat
Also the changes in company car tax rates is very negative to new cars petrol or diesel (hybrid & electric are OK) . My company has extended all the current leases by 6 months while they consider changes. Very likely we will switch to an ecop and people will opt for longer terms. -
Doesn't look excessively fast, just a space mis judgement. At least he stopped.

I think it has a lot of positives, however, the reviews I have read are very critical of the gearbox which is a shame when there are such good auto boxes out there.

The paint my neighbour uses comes straight off with isopropyl alcohol (95%). Any other method I tried was slow going.

Near death experience - electric tailgate
simonsheil replied to Rainmaker's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
On audi it is a simple vcds change to close the tailgate from the remote or switch in the car. Can't see skoda being any different but don't know for sure. -
I'd guess transfagarasan as they went to Romania.

True however, that is the new 7 Series out last year while the new a8 is out this year. The previous 7 Series x drive was 2152kg
-
Of course the a8 is 4wd as standard

It looks like a newer model so hopefully won't snap in 2 but make sure he keeps an eye on the chassis rails. My sister's was purchased back by Nissan prior to Christmas to go for scrap.

Ferries have had to switch to low sulphur fuel so have had steep rises in fuel prices.

Back boxes often benefit from being deeper with the flat plate as they tend to take up more space. Also the flat plates tend to have very little angular adjustment so make sure the boxes are as close to level as they can be.

I'm aiming for the same time but coming a fair way so will depend on traffic.

Lane assist intervenes if you are going to cross the line. Adaptive keeps the car centred between the lines.

Having read the manual page I would read it as they are white with just lane assist on and orange if adaptive lane assist is on.

V7 hybrid I found left a film on glass that was difficult to remove. Maxi suds is OK but I would not say outstanding. I am currently using auto finesse lather which is probably the best I have tried to date.

Agm batteries for stop start vehicles
simonsheil replied to mike4scuba's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Always find this spot best for batteries. https://www.tayna.co.uk/096-AGM-Car-Batteries-G415.html -
Actually it didn't cost the tax payer.

Part p was revised in 2013 and as I said before only applies within 0.6m of a bath or shower. Within the zone anyone can do the work, however, if you are not part p registered you have to have building control inspection or a part p inspector (which was introduced in 2013) Shaver sockets are commonly run off lighting circuits as they are rated for very low amps.
-
Only notifiable under part p if it is within 0.6m of the bath/shower. And even then you can do it yourself and notify building regulations, or have a third party inspection (which was introduced with the part p revisions) although in either of these cases it would most likely be cheaper just to pay a part p electrician to do the work.
