  1. Just pay the extra and buy the original matts from dealer. Went through two sets of "quality" matts from eBay. Both different suppliers and both were shocking. Vrs badges peeled off within a week. Oem ones have been in nearly 2 years and are still as new.
  2. the plot thickens...... just been out for a spin and thought I'd turn ASR off this time. Give it some stick and no clicking noise. Can I assume then that the noise is simply the ASR "thinking" about coming into action?
  3. Here ya go lofty, this image has been taken from the for sale section of the forum but you get the idea....
  4. Afternoon all Noticed that recently on full boost my car seems to make a clicking noise that appears to be coming from the running gear on the drivers side. Its not as defined a sound as a CV joint click (the sound they make when they are knackered), its higher pitched but always comes in on full boot. Really difficult to tell where its from though. Anyone experienced this or have any ideas what this mystery sound could be?
  5. seen black and lime green before. with the green being painted on the inner parts of the wheel and spokes. anything thats different is surely worth a punt?
  6. Ltd Edition VRS is marked as TFSI On parkers and being 35kgs heavier then the standard VRS.
  7. had mine fitted to my vrs 18 months now and havent had any issues what so ever. although i dont cover many miles so might be worth getting someone else's input. my opinion though is that its a worthy upgrade with a noticeable difference to the drive of the car
  8. http://www.flickr.com/photos/52273984@N06/7936734766/ Here's mine on 16" Spiders. Dinky I know but I like them.
  9. perfect thanks for the clarification. i shall get ordering next week me thinks!
  10. Thanks for the input gents. When I say upgrade I don't mind pads and discs, it's more the expense calipers etc I want to avoid. Not only is there the cost but also the fact that my little 16" spiders won't fit over anything larger than OEM Just had a browse on euro car parts and for the front the 312mm discs look good. Would I have any issues fitting these?
  11. Afternoon all In the next month or so I am going to replace the discs and pads all round on my VRS. Not looking to upgrade (so just disc and pad suggestions) just wondered what my options were other than OEM? Budget of no more than £500. Discuss....
  12. Ok that has assured me. i know theres a 6 year gap between the 2 cars but i wasnt expecting the difference to be that noticeable. still love the octy though - a fantastic car all round.
  13. sounds expensive! i just got a shock going from my dads 07 plate 325 back to the octy at first. there just seems to be an incredible amount of play in the steering before anything happens
