  1. does it have a sort of judder when you put your foot down? if it does it could be what went on my old car, the coil packs. but to be honest the best way to save fuel is use the gears correctly. if needs be drop down a gear a short burst of fuel to get up to speed is better than having your foot down for longer while it gradually gets up speed. and same goes with the turbo lag its best to stay in the power of the turbo. putting your foot down out of the turbos power can cause extra strain in parts like the transmission.
  2. i just used hot water and some thread or tooth floss. once the badge is so far off you can get your fingers in and slowly peel it away. if need be add more hot water/heat. then giveit a good clean were it was to make sure the new badge sticks and you mit find it useful to mark up where the old badge is so you know where to stick the new one.
  3. could of been worse could of still been at uni lol. i remeber parents mini used to do around 60 miles when the range said 0. and on top gear that time with the race to blackpool in that jag i think it was they said after it had enough fuel for another 130+ miles. dunno i never trust mine i always do around 20 miles with it saying 40 then somehow use about 30 miles worth in a couple of miles. owen
  4. im a student and 20 years old just re-done my insurance i have two year ncb but when the policy was set it was down as only having one so after changing it it only knocked £30 off. so wouldn't worry bout ncb to much. i have both mum and dad on as named drivers, dad with full no claim but a few points and mum with only 1 year ncb, mine is 740 something with elephant fully comp with excess at 400( this is on an older fabia tho). think next lowest price on compare sites was around 1200. dunno if yours will be higher with being newer car. so elephant seem a good bet like said before. but my advice is to go on comparison sites and play around with voluntary excess and annual mileage. this sort of thing can sometimes make it vary alot i have found owen
  5. some epic raceing today. good to see plato ok. and great work by jordan and nash today. what you think of shedden in the first race. a few miliseconds of over boost on lift off really worthy of being put to the back. guess rules are rules. owen
  6. not a fan of neal but think shedden is a hell of a driver. i like to think plato will be there towards the end of the races to add abit of spice. that would make it intresting. nice to see the audi doing a few laps aswell. owen
  7. well qualifying is over and done with and it seems that the turbo engines have taken over. anyone watch the qualifying on-line. had a few incidents and three red flags. so tomorrow could be interesting. i think Nash or Jordan have a good chance of getting a victory but the favorites have got to be the two Honda's. Owen
  8. check your coolant level may be to low
  9. well had a great time over the weekend. some really good racing and the barmy army managed to get shown on the itv coverage a few times. owen
  10. alright cool. i should be there for knocky. hopfully get to more this year as im on placement from july hopfully so dont have uni to worry about. croft is my local aswell best day out of the season if you ask me provides some of the best racing. them A4's look really smart to be fair. im just thinking will they be bit heavy. thier built abit like a tank arnt they. maybe like neals old integra where they just just hit everyone out of the way and somehow dont break. this is worth a look as well My link like fantasy football but for the btcc. its free and its partly run by YRC. owen
  11. barmy army webpage think this is still the website we use but kev usual sorts that out. seatcupra page thats the group page on seatcupra but dunno when that was last used we were still called "seat barmy army" then if you have facebook this is our group on there this how we usual organise stuff nowadays facebook page let me know if the links aren't working id like to see gordon shedden do alright but we all give plenty of support to plato owen
  12. or when it drops below 4 degrees and beeps at you and if you don't get the timing right with key buttons its seems to take forever to open all of the doors owen
  13. yer it is me. goodo you not camping? who is everyone's favourite for this year then?
  14. Then there will be two of us in the barmy army tent. So there's no excuse to not come and say hi. Don't worry you won't miss us we have plenty of flags to mark out our territory owen
